Thanks for the warning, Yoko.

Damn, I wrote all this stuff about how games that try to please everybody were usually disasters before clicking the bait. What a horrible title. Should've been "Xbox is king and its competition copies it all the time for real! Can't wait till physical media dies."

Don't get me wrong; I never said the game was downgraded, only that changes do happen, both positive and negative, from E3 to release.

I honestly don't think Guerilla wouldn't have at least tried to make the necks roam free. That said it would probably be very hard to accomplish given their size.

Sometimes you have to cut features due to limitations. There might've been too many terrain bugs for the devs to handle. Longnecks are huge, but like all game models, they're basically balloons. One misstep and they're walking sideways.

Goes to show that you should never ever take an E3 demo at face value. It's almost never a reflection of the final product.

It doesn't matter how they wormed their way out of a guilty verdict. The facts, and the lies, are out in the open for anyone willing to seek them out. That they were cleared only further proves that we have a deeply flawed justice system.

Here's a link to several moments of Sean Murray lying about only one feature that didn't make the final game.

Last time I checked false advertising was a crime. Sean's lucky nobody took him to court. It's certainly not something to be casually brushed off. It's bad enough Peter Molyneux and Todd Howard get away with it. We don't need more.

People make mistakes. It's up to the developers to give easy mistakes easy solutions. If they fail to provide a quick solution to a common mistake, then it's on them.

Never include "amazeballs" in your title. Trust me, it's good advice for anybody.

Don't just disagree without a word. I'm not criticizing or anything. I'm just wondering.

2637d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Pretty much. The problem is in the word itself. "Perfect" is an objective term. It's not meant to describe an opinion.

A perfect game would be a game without a single bug made exactly to the developer's specifications, and hell, I'm sure there may be a few of those floating around.

The problem is that even games that fall under that definition won't necessarily be universally loved. Sure they made get praised for their techni...

Much as people try to say otherwise, video games as a medium is now in the same vein as novels or movies. Ulysses is considered the book of the century, but not everybody likes it. The Godfather is considered the definitive motion picture, but there are plenty of people who don't see it that way.

Last of Us, the Metal Gear Saga, even The Legend of Zelda will end up with detractors. Trying to create a game that pleases everybody is a mistake that shouldn't be made...

Is there any legitimate reason why China got it two days early? Not complaining, it's only two days, but I'm genuinely curious as to why Sony scheduled it that way.

Incoming 90 straight minutes of individual trash talk before each fight.

Uncharted 4 was a good end to a great series. Naughty Dog knows when to let go, and more importantly it knows how to let go gracefully.

If you're gonna write another article about this villain after 20 years, then yes, he's a good villain.

Seems like the times have finally caught up with Yoko Taro. Good to see he's finally getting the appreciation he deserves.

@Sparta07 Made the same mistake myself, and I know exactly why: Nier was a console exclusive and never came to PC. In fact, Automata would mark the first Drakengard game to have an official PC release.

That title's got me hyped. Playing the first Nier for the first time now, and its genre-defying approach is nothing short of masterful. I came into Nier with high expectations, and at only about halfway through the game it's already rocketed above them.
