Nintendo has had plenty of "doom" articles on N4G. This is just redressing the balance.
Only problem is, unlike the "Nintendoom" articles, the "Sony doom" articles are based on reality, not fanboy wishful thinking.
The Vita is doing worse than the Dreamcast, and the PS3 lost Sony billions.
Kinect won the award last year. Just sayin'.
Yep. Nintendo's games provide entertainment.
The fact his statement has caused so much uproar from Microsoft and Sony fanboys indicates that their games on Microsoft annd Sony consoles aren't at all entertaining, fun or enjoyable. Good to know.
Great article.
I'm so glad I didn't waste my money on a Vita - a bigger flop than the Dreamcast in Japan, and a system so lame, even Sony's top first party studios don't want to develop for it.
Prediction: By March 2013, more people will own a Wii U than own a Vita.
But but but.... For months, N4G posters have been telling me that this would be the game that would save the Vita. They said literally millions of people will be queuing up desperate to waste their cash to experience this gimped version of CoD....
The thing is, Sony can't even convince their own top-tier developers (Naughty Dog, etc) to support the device.
Plus, 3 Sony studios that ended up releasing Vita games got shut down immediately afterwards (Zipper, Liverpool, BigBig) - doesn't exactly inspire confidence, does it?
Wii U's NFC reader says "Hi!"
Just realised. This guy has history. He's a massive Nintendo troll and Apple fanboy. Just look at some of his previous articles:
Why you shouldn't preoder the Wii U yet.
Does anyone really care about a bigger 3DS?
It's official: the Wii U is in deep, deep trouble.
Why Nintendo won't determine gaming's future
Hey Nintendo, get out of portables and put Mario on the iPhone
Is...
Exactly.
People forget that Nintendo allowed games like House Of The Dead: Overkill on the Wii - even though it was violent, had a disgusting ending (no spoilers here) and had the most swearing in any game ever at the time of release.
I just laugh at Pachter at this point.
This is the same man that thought the 3DS was underpriced at the beginning.
3DS: 3.6 million in the first month.
Vita: 2.2 million in seven months.
Not even close.
A lot of short memories here.
They didn't reveal the details of the Wii until their September conference either...
Deluded Sony fanboys are deluded.
The 3DS (which, remember, Sony fanboys considered a flop at launch) sold 3.6 million in the first month.
The Vita, despite this "amazing" launch line up, sold 2.2 million in seven months. It is a massive flop.
And for those that say "sales don't matter", tell that to Sony Liverpool.
Their device lacks buttons....
Moaning about Mario on a Nintendo system is like going to Disneyland and moaning about all the Mickey Mouse signs.
He's their mascot.
And Mario's popularity isn't in doubt.
More people have already bought New Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan than have bought the Vita console.
Nope.
Super Mario Galaxy 1+2: highest rated games this gen on any format.
New Super Mario Bros Wii: sold more than any game on PS360.
NSMB2: already outsold the Vita in Japan.
So many people forget that Nintendo always reveal the details for their new console around TGS. Not before.
I don't know why it's so hard to understand. They did it with the Wii and the 3DS already. They're doing the same thing with the Wii U.
He's right.
Sony even used "Smash Bros" as a tag on their youtube video.
Sony imitate. Nintendo innovate.
The Wii U is next gen.
Generation = time.
It is the first new console for six years, and the first new console of the 2010s.
LOL. Pachter.
Remember, this is the same man that thought the original price of the 3DS was too low.
