Dead Space 2 didn't get any hate, not much I'm aware of anyway. It was a good game it was just like RE4's situation though...good game but needed more horror

How though...I mean at times when watching the gameplay videos it looks like a new IP with all the pirate stuff. Then they give it a sub title for a main game, to be honest this feels like a story which would of been better off as part of the AC3 games, like AC3: Black Flags. You could of had this one about Connors grandfather and then the next one in the AC3 games could of been about Haytham, Connors father.
The entire game....no...basicaly all of disc 1 untill the end when he decides to show his courage to take on Edea head to head.

Those who say he is an "emo" because of how he is at the start of the game obviously havent finished it to see the great character development in the game. I'd rather say he's depressed or fed up with life (the story explains why he is like that) rather then him being an emo.

But does Deslin have limitations, I mean those X men characters you listed were weak because of their limitations, thats what I'm trying to point out. If he can go around willy nilly and take any powers he can then surley theres a downside to it, something which wont make it seem op. Doesn't anyone think giving him the ability to absorb powers AS WELL as his smoke powers will make him seem a little over powered. I just feel they are trying too hard to out do Cole. I mean absorbing powers is a pretty powerful power in the whole comic universe.

Although it will fail if you continue to dumb your RPG games down like you did with Skyrim. Sooner or later people will catch on, not saying it was a bad game but theres no need in trying to dumb it down to make it more accessible. Stick with the audience you already have.

Sony have played this in a smart way in my opinion, they used Microsofts negative backlash instead of using all their game reveals as hype and then they've used the indie community to futher that even more to show theres still a lot of stuff to come for the PS4. As I've said in the past, Microsoft blew most of their cards at E3 because they wanted rid of the backlash, I mean they showed things like Halo, Sunset Overdrive and BlackTusk ...
