I love this game but man its gets to be huge BS when you play vs a bought deck. I suggest reading up on cards/combos, seeing feeds and than going into 'The Arena'. At least its all chance there, unlike Rank.

The best way to test if the game's microtransactions are good (LOL are quite good actually) is this:

- If you face an opponent who puts 100 hundred dollars in the game, does he have an advantage over you?

The answer in Hearthstone is yes.

But don't let it fool you, this is one of the most addicting games I've played in a long time.

Yeah, its hella fun. When you actually start getting into the groove of it and unlocking better cards, its really cool.

Nailing some of the combos is exhilarating, especially when you flip the game around in your favor, when you thought it was the end.

Plus its super easy to get into.

Arena is all random cards? Nice I need to try that! My cards suck so far I'm getting crushed by people with decks that synergies so well...

Yeah, its all random and you can break even with 7 wins.

Again watch streams and read up on it, it'll help you pick which cards and characters. There's always room for personal preference. As the game is one of luck/chance.

:D

I recommend TrumpSC's stream on twitch. He usually gives fair estimates of what to do and what combos work best in situations.

In a month i got some pretty good cards including 4 legendaries. So yes pay2win is faster but its certainly not impossible to play the game without paying.

I like this game and it really comes down to two things. Grind and get lucky to obtain good cards to upgrade your deck or buy. But from personal experience, I have spent $100 on two separate accounts, buying the $50 bundle. One bundle didn't really give me anything good, I had to craft some cards from all the other cards I didn't want. the other time I racked up some very good cards and crafted others for a strong deck.

But I still lose from time to time, due to bad draws. But that's how all TCGs are, you can have the best card in your deck or even the best combo, but if you don't have a solid strategy and just a little bit of luck you won't win.

Game is fun though.
