Bad is a relative term, and atmospheric first-person puzzle games are like pizza; even when they’re bad, they’re still good. On its own, Magrunner: Dark Pulse is full of brain-bending puzzles and interesting story elements. Pit it against charmers like Quantum Conundrum and the genre-standard Portal, however, and you’ll start to notice its overwrought storyline and gaps in logic.
