App Store Games: My Experience Playing on the iPod Touch | FanBolt

FanBolt.com writes: "iOS games have been around for awhile now in the App Store, but I never found myself to be very interested in them. The entire idea of gaming on a phone or tablet was just a silly idea to me because that is no way to game! I need real games with real controls, not these touch based mini games."

There are some truly amazing games in the App Store. I've played more games on my iPhone 4S than I have on my Vita and 3DS combined.

With that said man cannot live on iOS alone.

Escape Plan is the closest thing I could see ios devices copying that is on the vita, but even then no rear touchpad and no actual controls still limit the moblie phone market from ever being able to truly compete and I love infinity blade 1 and 2 but that still feels incomplete.

Gaming on the Iphone/Ipad or Android is equivalent to hanging out at "A8 games" or any other web base mega game site.

My 9 year old son loves playing the Dragon slide game on my Droid X2. My 5 year old daughter is a master of 'Cooking Mama' on the 4S.

Nothing wrong with it.. just not anything special.

Mean while, I’m loving the Vita (can’t stop playing Hot Shots and running through crushing mode on Uncharted golden abyss… trying to get my first PSV PLAT).

- Much love to all gaming * - * on all Platforms.

Screen too small on ipods/iphones. For half the price, plus much bigger screen, I'll get an andriod.

And about a third of the decent games.
