We've seen a fair bit activity in the Dreamcast home-brew scene in recent times, and now we have the SNES getting some support in 2014.
Ahmad Khan writes: "If you still have your old SNES lying around because you have bit of a hoarding problem, or perhaps you bought one from a yard sale due to nostalgia, you are in for some fun news. There is a brand new game coming out for Super Nintendo in the second quarter of 2015. Yup that wasn't a typo, a brand new game for Super Nintendo Entertainment System is due in mid 2015. The fine folks over at CollectorVision Games have taken it upon themselves to release new games for this classic game console; and the first game they are planning to release is called Justice Beaver. Much like past Nintendo games Justice Beaver is light on the plotline: Justice Beaver is an beaver superhero that will uses a gun and bombs for weapons, and it's his goal to save the world from some evil saboteurs, and it's up to you the player to help him along the way."
Carl Williams writes, "New games for the Super Nintendo are kind of rare, unlike the Sega Dreamcast and the Neo Geo which seem to never have realized they were discontinued. Some developers are holding true though and releasing new Super Nintendo titles such as Collectorvision. Their upcoming title, Justice Beaver, has just been announced to be headed to Kickstarter to assist with funding for the Super Nintendo version. "
I love these games released for older gen consoles. Shows the dedication of the retro gaming community.
LOL, is this game a Justin Bieber parody?
