I wish they were my friends and that they’d give me High-Fives.
I also wish they were in different games: newer, better, more differenter!"
Vampire games are making a comeback of late, and gamers hoping this is a new trend should look back at the 7 best vampire games ever made.
What is a list? A miserable little pile of scribbles.
A Best Vampire Game list and no Bloodborne. A bold choice, indeed.
No Blood Omen? Even today it's one of my favourite vampire games. We could really do with a release on modern platforms.
I really enjoyed Vampyr. The combat is a little clunky and could use some work. However, the story, characters, dialog. setting, and pretty much everything else in the game is great.
Check out our review of the dark fantasy classic, Soul Reaver!
Bring the series back Crystal Dynamics. Didn't realize Amy Henig worked on tihs one thats dope
I’ve been wanting to replay this for over a year. It’s been on “Coming Soon” status on GOG forever. Have no idea what they’re waiting for.
Crystal Dynamics' interest in Legacy of Kain and the new secret playtest rekindle hopes for the epic vampire journey's much-needed revival.
Yeah. It would be nice.
But kind of hard to do when they are tasked in helping TRILLION dollar companies finish making their games. Just blows your mind right? Sucks the life right out of you like a vampire.
They need to do it quick the voice talent isn't getting any younger and we need a wrap up of the story of Kain and Raziel.
Man I can only imagine what a modern take of Nosgoth would look like past and present. Have Blood Omen with D4 style top down graphics and Soul Reaver taking advantage of SSD and physical/spectral plain shifting with modern graphics and updated combat ,,,, drool :p Honestly they could condense soul reaver 1,2& defiance in to 1 game if they ever do a remake , make it a huge epic arpg
"I WANT to play as Dante. But now, wizened and aging, I crave just a hint of depth, of subtlety to both mechanics and narrative."
Yessss! I love the set-up for and the hints of story/characterization that occurred in DMC1 to DMC4. But by the time DMC4 came around, it seemed like Capcom had no intention of deepening Dante's story and I started to get disappointed. I want to know more about Sparta, more about Vergil, more about Dante as a person and his life as a demon hunter, and more about the world they all live in.
Devil May Cry 3 gave us a hint of the rivalry between Dante and Vergil and some possible depth to the series' plot... then it was all forgotten about in DMC4. Just vague mentions of the past games and a buttload of random fights and backtracking. I was disappoint. :(
That's not to say I don't love the DMC series. I do. But I want so much more than what Capcom was giving us.
...Oh, and hell yes to another Legacy of Kain game!
You think the original Dante had awful taste in music? I love the DMC 1, 3, and 4's soundtracks! But then, I love metal so...
I'd love to see a new LoK title. I don't care if it's Kain or Raziel I play since both of 'em kick so much ass.
"Raziel.. you are worthy."
Soul Reaver had one of the most powerful openings in gaming history.
if i had 3 gaming wishes, one of them would be another Legacy of Kain with Amy Henning writing the script.
Lol at the thought of a game where Bowser kidnaps Peach only to have someone else kidnap her from him and he have to go save her.
Notice the trend. Every game started sucking once it went multiplat. Perticuly the playstation exclusives
