NCsoft Europe has confirmed the release of a new 'Good versus Evil' package that contains City of Heroes and City of Villains and offers special in-game content alongside the two games. Once it hits retail on September 29th, Players will gain access to a jetpack prestige travel power (a similar one proved extremely popular last December, when it was used as a special 30 days bonus for all new characters) and costume pieces that look quite impressive.
From Xfire: "It's been estimated that roughly half of the video games ever released on the market can no longer be downloaded or purchased. Whether this is exactly correct is not the point. Rather, we think that either way, the video game industry, as a whole, has done a terrible job at preserving video games and making older titles available to play for future generations."
You can play all of these games still lol. The headline is just misleading. Funny is that there is not one game in the list that you really can't play anymore due to it being online only games.
One you actually legit cannot play AT ALL is Noby Noby Boy. I miss turning my brain off and messing around in that game, was so psyched to re-download it when i rebought a ps3 slim, but you cant, even if it's in your downl library, along with a few other obscure PS3 games i had.
I would replace Transformers Devastation with War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron tho.
Transformers Devastation was good but not as good as Fall and War of Cybertron they should be on the list. SH 2 I can play any time I want since it came free in a $10 Xbox I bought used. The Simpsons Arcade I have on my PS3 surprised the Xmen Arcade game is not on this list or the Turtles arcade game either.
CCG writes - "It’s pretty crazy to see how far video games have come since they’ve been commercially available in 1972. From 2D 8-bit games of the past to massive 3D games containing trillions of polygons. Although I was born in the 90s, I’ve played many games that originated from the 70s and 80s. Jetpac in particular came out in 1983 on the ZX Spectrum by the company we know as Rare. I did not have a ZX Spectrum, but I was introduced to the game in Nintendo’s Donkey Kong 64, as it was a minigame contained in said entry of the Donkey Kong franchise. The goal of Jetpac is to fly your little astronaut around a 2D plane collecting pieces of your ship, and then fuel to fly away. Various aliens would try to ram into you, so armed with a blaster, you would defend yourself. This would pretty much repeat until you lose all your lives. Believe it or not, this was a critically acclaimed game way back in the 80s."

how anyone could play more than the included free month is beyond me.
