The Witcher 2 - Patch 1.3 Aspect Ratio Fix Is Not What You'd Expect

DSOGaming writes: "Oh boy, here we go again. Remember when Bioshock 2 was released and the widescreen mode was simply a FOV hack that positioned the camera closer to the view? Well, here comes the latest patch of The Witcher 2 to piss off PC gamers with that same issue. CD Projekt RED is a respected company and we couldn’t believe it when we heard it. But here are some screenshots that prove those complains."

dont care, i play on 52" in 1080p

great game btw

i'm playing TW2 in 1080p and 1600p and i have had ZERO problems with the aspect ratio. I'm actually almost happy with 3 screen 1080p as my complaints are very very minor.

Been keeping on eye on the games respective forums and it's a constant stream of complaints. Typical of PC gaming. It's the main reason I got a PS3 and 360 and so far it's paid off. Now I can relax and it's pure gaming bliss without all the technical issues and headaches.

What I'm saying is...I wait for the 360 version to hit this fall then I'll be all over it.

I have played it dozens of hours on PC and have had no problems with The Witcher 2. It is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen, too. I've been playing it with a wireless 360 controller.

but you'll have to play it in sub-hd with a bunch of jaggies and pop-in

these people whining about the res are using non-standard resolutions

not 4:3 or 16:9, 16:10, those work fine

the 360 version of the witcher2 will look like two worlds 2 if you are lucky

I've seen it in action and it looks good enough to me.

You should try convincing someone who has not already spent over 15 years PC Gaming and building their rigs.

Nice try though.

Both consoles also have buggy games, so I don't see what your problem is.

SLI runs great since the 1.3 patch but I now get problems with 3D, shadows seem to render at the wrong depth.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - 10 Years of CDPR on Console

10 years and I'm not sure they've done anything better since...

I take the Witcher 3 over part 2, but Cyberpunk was a disappointment. God I hated Johnny Silverhand so much.
