They are adding Cloud saves to XBL so it likely has to do with that.

I was just playing Reach and the Homefront MP demo like 10 minutes ago. No problems for me.

Just wondering...

Does Microsoft give you guys a heads up in an email or xbl message if there's gonna be maintenance?? Sony doesn't for us and I'm starting to wonder why they don't gives us the heads up... Considdering server maintenance usually is usually planned... I've gotten emails from developers in the past (Zipper Interactive) and it saved me a headache...
It's would take Sony or Microsoft 2 minutes to have an intern write up an email and then 2 seconds to click send all... That little effort would save all us paying gamers the frustration of waiting in the dark

PS3 already had cloud storage so M$ sooner or later was gonna add it on xbox360

JellyJelly2425d ago

@subtenko - Give it a rest, dude. It's not like Sony were the first company in the world to use cloud storage and it's not like Sony's never taken ideas from Microsoft (achievements - trophies, guide button on the controller, built-in harddrive etc).

Vaud-Villian2425d ago

Sony's micromanaging approach is fail. Rather have access without copy, save, import, repeat

Anon19742425d ago

Ugh. What is it with N4G and network maintenance? If it's the PSN going down you get "That's what you get! It's free", if it's XBL going down it's "Oh, well they're adding new stuff."

Frankly, unless it's an outage that lasts more than a couple of days - I don't think we need an article about it..

Playing Onling Right Now, No Problem At All

4D2425d ago

Please give it a rest already. Your conspiracy theories are old and played out. This is N4G. There were news articles today for both PSN and XBL being down. Apparently both services had legitimate reasons for being taken down and are both back up and functioning. Take a deep breath and relax. Crisis averted...

You're just annoyed that he has a point. :)

KING_KAI2425d ago

hahah it isnt effecting most i dont think but i cant sign in :(

aviator1892425d ago (Edited 2425d ago )

It's back to "up and running." And they were supposedly rolling out the cloud service for users so it could have been just maintenance.

I'm watching "NOVA's Making Stuff" on Netflix over Live right now. http://support.xbox.com/en-... nothing wrong. I think someone got the icons confused :)
