Geek Revolt writes "E3 is a week away and everyone is talking about how Nintendo can “win”. Instead of talking about what they need to do, let’s talk about what they shouldn’t do. Here are four things Nintendo should avoid doing at E3 2011."
The latest Switch firmware update kills off support for the Elon Musk-owned social media company.
Nintendo Has Acquired Shiver Entertainment From Embracer Group
Great news it shows that Nintendo intends to continue developing ports of AAA games to its next gen platform
Buying studios from embracer now is a great deal, they must be dirt cheap at this point, Nintendo is a opportunist, they wait until someone fall so they get their best deal
I hope someone buys Piranha Bytes, their future isn't looking good right now. I love their RPGs, they're janky as f***, but they have heart and soul.
Nintendo saw the Mortal Kombat 1 Switch port and were like, "Yeah, these guys are worth acquiring."
You can't make this crap up lol
Game developers have already started to confirm that they will support the Nintendo Switch 2 with their future titles.
How about if they just give us grown up stuff.
I'm not even sure if they did #1 since E3 2008, so I think that's a non issue.
#2 is a legit concern, but considering they didn't completely ignore the DS last E3 even with the announcement of the 3DS, they more than likely will show the Wii some love as well.
#3 is an iffy. I mean, I know Nintendo is trying to appeal to "hardcore" gamers, so it would be wise if they showed a majority of 3rd party games. But, 1st party titles are the system sellers of Nintendo consoles, so we'll have to see.
Again, #4 has been a non-issue since E3 2008, so I don't believe it should be much of a concern.
I'd swap #1 with "Demonstrating a motion-controlled game on stage" as last year's TLoZ showing was disastrous, and #4 with "Not announcing the localization of Xenoblade and The Last Story for the US" as that would pretty much kill any remaining interest I have in the Wii.
I think they should talk up the numbers a bit, I mean it doesn't hurt to discuss how you destroyed the competition for five minutes or so.
Nintendo had the best conference last E3 IMHO and they almost always have a lot going on.
I hope they taught the power to their new console to rub it in a bit, also I hope they lower the price on the 3DS, I have a feeling we will be seeing a $199 3DS going up against a $299 and $349 Vita.
Heres to a good E3 Nintendo!
Announce everything days before showing it at E3? Like everyone else does?
Who doesn't brag about sales, just saying. But anyway this years E3 is going to be BANG'N :)
