Diablo III Wizard Wave of Force

Blizzard Entertainment released three images as a community reward for pushing the Diablo III Facebook past the 975,000 Likes.

The gameplay screenshot shows the male Wizard casting Wave of Force. However, the usual expanding bubble that knocks back incoming enemies is used against a single massive hulk.

A closer look at how the Wizard manages to be high in the air using this skill seems to suggest a runestone can alter the skill to knock the Wizard upwards instead, as a mechanism to escape deadly attacks.

The runestones system was revealed a few days ago. Blizzard released 5 videos to show how each of the five types of runestones can affect a skill.

It's very likely what this new wizard screenshot shows is a variation of the Wave of Force skill never seen before.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
