Decapod Studios, an independent game development company, announces the release of Murphid, now available for download on Zune Marketplace.
Platform Nation: My first thought when playing Murphid was “Oh look, it’s Dr. Mario without the Mario character!” You’ll quickly find, however, that this offering from Decapod Studios is actually quite a capable puzzler all on it’s own. The game follows somewhat similar rules to Dr. Mario: match colors of 3 or more, and you clear all the same color pieces that are connected to that match.
Gamers With Casts: asked the 11 year-old son of my friend to try out Murphid by Decapod Studios in between his games of Borderlands and Iron Man 2. “Do you like Tetris?” I asked. His response was a quick “No”. Still, he agreed to try it and within minutes he changed his tune to “Hey, this is pretty fun!”
Last week saw an interesting week for games with quite a few good ones to boot! There were shooters, puzzlers, and zombie games galore! Enjoy the round up.
