Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City 45% complete, demo confirmed for E3

In an interview held between Famitsu and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City’s producer Masashita Kawata, it has been revealed that the game is 45% complete. Slant Six will be making a demo available at E3 this June for those on the show floor. We’re also going to be getting some reveals relating to the creatures we’ll be facing in the game; which will most likely include some of the classic enemies we’ve been hearing about thus far.

Well this not being on the Nintendo Wii is frankly upsetting me! I feel like i'm being discriminated against!

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!! WII ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Its Vive La not Viva La :D

Screw the E3 demo, release a demo on PSN and Xbox live because there is no chance of me even buying this game without a public demo. I don't trust Game "Journalists" anymore due to them hyping up games, only to slap a 5/10 at review time while giving free passes to the likes of Call of Duty. I also do not trust Slant Six after the sorry ass state that Socom: Confrontation was. Thank god Zipper took Socom back to finally deliver a true Socom Game.

I think most people feel the same. I would give it a go as a demo but I would not buy it. Why give Capcom your money for a game like this, given to a crap developer just for a cash in on the Resident evil name. They'll take all the income as it being a success even though people will buy it to "give it a chance/try" and they'll then make a sequel that nobody really wants, while the could of done a new Outbreak game.

If this game gets a sequel then I doubt a new Outbreak game will ever come out

Do I smell a fall release date then?

LoveNintendoWii5186d ago

No you smell jealousy towards the Nintendo Wii i'm afraid. Strong isn't it?

Capcom reveals its PC game [digital] sales overshadow console, and it's only growing

The earnings reports of Capcom's Fiscal year 2024 showcase the growth of PC over console, with 60% of game sales being made on the former.

Vits15d ago

What’s interesting is that, given how well their games sell, it’s very likely most of them fall into the 25/75 revenue split bracket. The larger ones, like Monster Hunter, are in the 20/80 bracket.

So even accounting for the vastly superior regional pricing on PC, I wouldn’t be surprised if revenue-wise from digital sales, both platforms are close, or if PC is ahead as well.

neutralgamer199215d ago (Edited 15d ago )

Yes PC is the biggest platform and it has definitely improved as a home console of sort plug and play. It's the only platform with actual freedom for gamers with modding. I was a console gamer for over 38 years and now I only play on Pc. Whether you are buying pre-built or building it yourself it's now easier than ever before to jump in

And my experience with pc gamers has been excellent, they are helpful with any questions on pc boards

FPS_D3TH14d ago

As a gamer who also loves replaying his old favorite titles, possibly with a few mods as well, I can’t imagine ever getting another console.

Profchaos15d ago (Edited 15d ago )

They spoke about resident evil and monster hunter I would actually find the monster hunter breakdown more interesting tbh as I've always felt like this game would be at home on PC

but for resident evil it's always felt like a PlayStation mainstay despite having exclusivity elsewhere likely because it was where I first played it. The game feels like it's begging to be played lights off in the loungeroom late at night or also in VR I've never been as scared as I was playing re7 in VR

Is this really suprising? Looking at the evolution of the Switch, X|S and Playstation 5?

Eonjay14d ago

The biggest cause is probably the lack of game purchases on the Xbox platform. Also keep in mind this is only digital sales so there is a chunk of sales not being shown here.
