Mortal Kombat has over 60 Fatalities

In addition to the official OFLC Report about Mortal Kombat that revealed, the Game has over 60 Fatalities and they are an important component of the game.

i think the fatalities are more complicated than just how much each character can do, cause there are ones that are character specific and ones that every character can do (ie, the uppercut into the pit)

so it really isnt as simple as "2-3 for each character"

Every characters have 2 Fatalities
This was confirmed at GDC 2010
and all of them can do stage fatalities
there are 26 characters times 2 which makes 52 character fatalities and depending on which version of the game you have

ic, missed that...then with 26 (27 for ps3) characters seems like their statement would be right, even if the "over 60" was just 61 fatalities lol...cause technically they wouldnt be lying

Spent so many quarters in the arcades on MK1,2,3. This game looks like a perfect sequel and I don't think it will disappoint the fans.

60 doesn't seem like a lot to me.
Each character should have (at least) 3 or 4, that way when using a fave character you don't get tired of the fatalities after one night.

The report also states that each character will have a total of 4 "finishing moves" -- 1 initial fatality and the other 3 being unlockable -- which leads me to believe the possibility of Babalities and Friendships. Or maybe something completely new. Can't wait to find out.

Ok, let me start with this so no one thinks I dislike MK. I grew up with the game and loved the bizarre and violent and dark part of the game. I`ve seen the movies and played almost all games. But the games are just mediocre and the movies are really bad, but enjoyable.
I`m actually looking forward to this game (will buy it).
But seeing the fatalities they released online for the next installement, almost all have limbs falling off. They don`t seem too creative. After the hopeless finishers in mk4 to this date I just hope there will be funny ones.
And for bloods sake bring back babality, animality and friendship so this game won`t be another 5-6 hour game.
Online I do not care about.

More than 60 Fatalaties? That sounds awsome. I think they are going all out for this game. And glad to see that. Cause they got some stiff competition with SSFIV and MvsC3. But MvsC3 lacks a lot of content. No survival mode, no spectator mode, only 8 arenas. This MK looks like its going all out.

There will be 26 characters. 25 unlocked and 1 secret. They've also said that there are 2 fatalities per character.

I think the 8 remaining fatalities are for arena finishers like the Pit falling and such.
