DICE: Battlefield 3 debut trailer is all in-game footage

BFBC2 did have micro destruction, just not on everything. Otherwise snipers could just shoot out of a hole in the wall and not get seen. The stone walls had micro destruction just like the trailer, DICE was not lying, in fact they didn't lie about anything so far, so why this?

Its not just the graphics its the fact that the game also has the scale and destruction of a Battlefield game. Most good looking games are very closed off.

It was in game gameplay. Some of it was cut-scene, but to the extent that it's just a controlled camera. Same graphics. Like Crysis.

It's clearly all 100% in-game gameplay. Not cutscenes. Not a render. It's gameplay. Look at running sections and the part on top of the building when prone. That's all been taken from actual in-game single-player footage from the demo shown to journalists earlier in the month. Only a complete clown with little to no knowledge of how DICE work, or a PS3 headcase, who's slighlty got himself in a bit of a tiff over how good this actually looks, would doubt it. DICE do not fuck about. Just go and look at NFS Shift 2 and see how that looks too.

i own a ps3 and i have no knowledge on how dice works - but,i'm totally stoked for this game. (BF3 - not NFS:shift2 - i don't like that series...i like "hot pursuit" better).

Let me make this clear: I am not a particular fan of any one system or platform. I currently game on consoles at the minute, but plan on building a new PC just for this game. My last PC build was roughly 4 years ago now, and haven't been gaming on a PC for years. I'll be going back. I am what you call a gamer. I've owned more or less almost every system going in the past 20 years. I am what you would call a rare breed on here amongst the plethora of PS3 fantards, and PC elitists.

Yes it looks better then 99% of games i've seen.

But i'll wait for fps view, mp footage etc.

Killzone3 is currently the best looking game on consoles.

Crysis 2 also looks great from what i've seen of it.

The best COD was the first 1 by far and on PC.

Dx11 isnt needed to produce those graphics. Time and effort is, GPU's have well enough power to render those scenes, But most engines have not been optimized for certain hardware.

Think of it like this.

A game where on pc @ 1920x1200x4aa your getting 100fps on a single card/isn't exactly pushing your rig is it.
