Black Ops Feedback Dept: Please submit all complaints to Sally

Some players of Call of Duty: Black Ops have filed an open letter to Activision concerning multiplayer problems on the Playstation 3. This is a rebuttal against all of the anger being levied against Activision and the inconsistency with the accusations.

oh its PS3 owners faults for buying a game they believed would be on par with 360 version, but then it was clearly inferior and they felt they got shafted

Maybe the real culprits are all the dishonest review sites who rather than reviewed the game in detail just said it was perfect when it was clearly quite the opposite.

While I agree there's no reason to expect it to be identical to another format (just as console owners don't expect PC graphics quality) I would expect an online multiplayer geared game to work online - which it just doesn't.

I said this, when Black ops was announced, people agreed, I said this when treyarch said it would be better, I got disagrees and bubbles removed. Now I'll say it again.

STOP REBUYING COD 4, THE ENGINE CAN'T HANDLE THE NEWER STUFF. DON'T BUY IT UNTILL THERE'S A NEW ENGINE, FROM SCRATCH.

The authors arguments are very valid and I see where he is coming from.

But one thing I don't understand is why Black Ops is getting so much hate/threats because it sucks. I and thousands of other people bought Chrome Hounds when it came out. It had some glitches and I didn't really like it. But I cant go sue the company because it had some glitches and didn't like their game. Thats not how it works. If you don't like the game, you chalk it up as a learning experience and $30 down the drain.

Ultimately, my question is, why if Black Ops can be sued for being "bad" has no other game in history been sued for being "bad"?

Sounds to me like people are angry that it is doing well despite its faults. Thats not a good nor legitimate reason to take legal action.

Edit: And I might as well add: Yes, IW and Treyarch are being jerks for so blatantly milking the franchise. BUT that is not a crime. Being an asshole is NOT illegal. Its not nice, but you can't go to jail for being an asshole.

This game is not being sued because it's a bad game, I think the game is fun as hell but that's because I have the 360 version of the game. When I had the PS3 version I hated this game so much that I sold it 2 days later I thought the game just sucked that Tryarch dropped the ball again but that wasn't the case after playing it on the 360, wow big difference the game plays perfect no lag, no disconnects, 60fps rather than 45fps ps3 version, hit detect spot on, the game just plays and looks better on the 360. Even the graphics were a little washed out on the ps3 version too, I don't know but it seemed to me that the game was broken on the ps3, unplayable for me anyways.

Maybe the $60 subsription fee for XBL is the reason for better multiplatform (CoD) games? Not saying it's right, just saying it's a possibility. Like the author said, MS has more incentive to force patches and fixes because it has to keep people paying for it's service.

If they are going to do a poor job/not even caring about the PS3 version, why make it at all? Paying for rights to get a game fix is wrong but all those people who bought CoD:BO should have expected this after the last few CoD.

hmm to make cod a better game i would, use dedicated servers,remove prone,remove killstreaks and add vehicles,add a tun of diffrent guns more attachments,make it more tactical & also adding a cover system,so many customizations that it would make you finders bleed but also easy to access, beta test on every platform,lots of different maps also night maps so we can use night/heat vison ect. these are just some of the ways i think cod should have advanced where comeing up on the 8th game not counting the spin offs and not even a few things have changed it's becoming so stale and boring and then to release a POS game like black ops is just insult to injury,now in nov we will get another pos cod game that not going to change anything!! and then down the line there going to want to charge you money to play online!! thats insane! you suck activison.
