It's like January 2009 all over again... I can't wait!!!!!!!! I'm sooo excited and I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it. LOL

RedDead5275d ago

So...Can EU users download and play it too? With a Us account of course.

jidery5275d ago (Edited 5275d ago )

You will simply see two windows on top of each other with a thin line between them that are slighty off center from each other. The TV can't process that data

ikkeweer5275d ago

@RedDeadDestroyer
Wishing for that aswell, but it's a European Studio (Amsterdam) and I think KZ2 was released in europe first so I don't expect they'll forget us.

Burning_Finger5275d ago

sucks to be poor. :P No 3D for me. :(

StarScream4Ever5275d ago

3D is a fad to me. Don't want to risk my eye just for popups.

GiggMan5275d ago

To each his own... Me personally I can't wait to try this masterpiece in 3D. It's part of the reason I picked up a 3D TV in the first place, the other being I found a great deal and wanted to upgrade my older LG...

Istanbull5275d ago

Maybe you're too poor to buy a 3D tv, I will enjoy this in full stereoscopic 3D!

Klepto5275d ago

@IstanBull

Wow way to be an asshole. Not everyone likes 3D, personally I think if you pay the insane prices for 3D TV's that even in 2D mode don't look as good as a regular LCD or plasma you're foolish.

blackpanther255275d ago (Edited 5275d ago )

@giggman i found a good deal on 3d plasma tv as well only cost me $1300 and it came with two glasses and cloudy monster vs aliens 3d blueray

@edge
I agree with you on some points, but don't knock it until you try it(regarding 3D FPS killzone). When the demo comes and I test it, that is when i will know whether or not it is good for FPS.

edgeofblade5275d ago

3DTV is a fad, or at least the promotion of 3D as being a TV seller. 3D is going to be one of those things that TVs just "have". Like an ethernet jack or a wireless RF remote. It's going to become a non-feature before long... and the average person will finally afford it.

At the same time, do you really want to play an FPS in 3D? Is there a setting for left- or right-sighted, or is the crosshair just going to float between your eyes and you just have to eyeball it? Or is it going to jerk around like a laser, projected on your target?

I'm ok with 3D for certain applications. Racing games? Go right ahead. FPS? Not on your life.

GiggMan5275d ago

@Edge... I will find all that out on Feb 2nd. I'm not knocking it until I try it, which is what most people should do.

StarScream4Ever5275d ago

Really guys? Not all of us wanted a 3DTV in the first place. It's just not that big of the deal to me. I find it a distraction more when playing competitive fps.

edgeofblade5275d ago

@GiggMan: Respectfully, I'll only get to try this if I see it in Best Buy. I've seen the current state of 3D and I don't think it's all that good. I did 3D nearly 5 years ago on my PC with shutter glasses, and the technology hasn't come very far. In fact, it hasn't moved a step. If I were to buy a 3DTV in the next 5 years, it would be one of Vizio's 22 inch passive 3D panels. I might be able to swallow THAT.

As a kid i had some heart attacks playing this game. The soundtrack right on point with those close calls. I love this game.

shadowhaxor1d ago

Agreed. I still love it and play it often. Still sucks that Disney was like, nah... this game didn't do well, when it did well against other racers and reviewed well.

MaximusPrime_1d ago

Split/Second was one of the game I enjoyed playing. In fact it's still the most popular video on my YouTube channel. It's a gameplay of Split/Second posted 15 years ago. This past month 25 people viewed it. Split/Second is a favourite amongst racing gamers worldwide.

AuraAbjure20h ago

This game was super awesome and hella fun playing split-screen with the homie. Trashing your friend’s car during split-screen competition using one of those QuickTime events was so funny haha

wesnytsfs17h ago

That and Blur both deserve a sequel, they came out within days of eachother.

Project: Horned Owl Review

From the mid-1980s to the early part of the 2000s, light gun rail shooters were a staple in both arcade and home system gaming. Arguably, the genre started to really hit its stride in the mid-1990s. While games like Time Crisis, Virtual Cop, and House of the Dead, among others, dominated both the home system and arcade space, some one relegated to only home game systems. Today, we’ll be talking about a little-known cult game published by Sony called Project: Horned Owl. This game was developed by Alfa Systems, and all in all, this is a fun game.
