I still have my geforce 256 video card. It is in a pc I use for old school gaming. It has a pair of 3dfx voodoo2's sitting right next to it.

There is a reason why this comparison is flawed (GPUs aren't just for games), but the one you have given is ridiculous.

One billion units in 16 years = 62.5 million per year
35 million units in 5 years = 7 million per year

I would agree with you. My amazing supercomputer ps3 console powered by THE CELL is an over-priced POS. But that might have something to do with the nvidia gpu in it....

My launch day gtx480 was cheaper than a launch PS3...

I play all my games at 60 frames with 32CSAA at 1080p.

I think it was a god damn bargain.

1.)i don't have a crystal ball, i don't know what the future holds.my be one day people might start buying ps3 at a record breaking rate.i'm not naive and i have a open mind, where i don't set nothing in stone.you compare 16yrs to 16yrs not 5yrs.look at cod, it went form a decent selling game to the best selling game in console history over night.see how that works?.

2.)he maid a comparisons to nivida's entire gpu (16yrs worth) lineup to that of the ps3.if he would have add the ps1,ps2,psp and ps3 all together it would have made more sense.so no, the flaw you pointed out wasn't the only one.

3.)nivida cards are use for more then gaming.at the time i didn't feel like explaining all that so i only pointed out the flaw that stuck out the most to me.

Gota agree with them being over priced but I find it hard to hate after the 8800 days. They just need to get back to that frame of mind and I'd jump back over from AMD

Well the GTX 560 looks to offer bang for buck performance at a great price. I actually put thaty order on hold because I want to give Nvidia a fair chance before pulling the trigger.

A GTX 560 SLI set-up at $500 would be killer if the performance is there. GTX 570 and 580 are too costly.

Agreed. The 560 is keeping me on the fence with me next purchase. I am having a hard time deciding between the 560 and the HD6890. I would like to go Eyefinity with Crossfire HD6890's but then I have to factor in the cost of 2 new monitors. Decisions decisions.
