Lack of Originality in Gaming

how the there isn't enough original games out on the market (Android, Angry Birds, Casual games, Damnation, Eat Lead: The Return Of Matt Hazard, Industry, iPad, iPhone, Mobile, PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

Some good points in the article. However, I wouldn't really call angry birds that original, well not in game play at least. Many catapult games have been done before. I think what HAS set Angry Birds apart is the fun premiss and the lively presentation. Other than that, there's nothing that a good hype train can't promote.
