If you're talking about graphically, then the Xbox 360 port had nothing to do with it.
If anything, I would blame the fact that Tekken 6 came out in arcades in 2007 and it took 2 years for Namco to port it to consoles with no major updates (aside from it being the Bloodline Rebellion version and the bland story mode).

Tekken 6 on xbox got a 80 Meta and PS3 got 79. Tekken 5 on PS3 got a 82 metacritic. I dont see how the The 6th game is watered down. stop being a fanboy.

2 points difference between the 5th and the 6th on PS3 and xbox360. And 4 between Tekken 5th on PS3 and 6th.

If you're blaming the Xbox360 for Tekken being downgraded then you sure as hell are wrong. If you look at comparisons between the PS3/Xbox360 versions, you'll notice the Xbox360 version is superior. Go on Youtube, type in Tekken 6 Lensoftruth comparison, and look at the video. When you see the vid, you'll notice longer load times and more tearings on the Ps3. As for the Xbox360, it has shorter load times and little to no tearings.

So basically Tekken 6 on the Xbox360 is by far superior compared to the PS3. Lol and I hope Namco multiplats Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the Xbox360 too - or better yet their decision is already set to multiplatform it to the 360.

Tekken 6 ARCADE runs on PS3 hardware, it looks wayyyy better than the console versions, and when I say wayyyy better I dont mean like these crappy multiplat comparisions where 360 has an extra pixel if you zoom in 100 times.

The port from arcade to PS3 would of been as easy as ABC as they are the same hardware, but then the game was announced for 360 (and delayed another year) and then the end result is yet another multiplat gimped because of the 360.

You don't even know what you're talking about. The 360 version wasn't superior to the PS3 in any shape or form. The site I went to that did a comparison concluded that even though PS3 is always in 576p, it stilled looked sharper than the 360 in both 576p and 720p. Besides that, you can't even tell the game gets upscaled when you actually play it on an HDTV.

In terms of gameplay (y'know, the MAIN point of any fighting game) Tekken 6 IS THE SAME on both platforms.

The point here is that there's no real excuse for the game looking like crap on it's PS3 port from the Arcade hardware which is just a PS3 inside an arcade cabinet. The moment the game got delayed and announced on 360, it took a turn for the worse.

What website did you see the PS3/Xbox360 comparison? Can you provide me a link? Where did u get your facts? Otherwise your entire paragraph is a lie. But assuming you are telling the truth, can you explain to me why the Xbox360 version scored an 81.14% on Gamerankings while the PS3 version scored a 79.75%??
I guess the PS3/360 Tekken 6 versions identical if you ignore the PS3's longer load times and screen tearings here and there, other when the Xbox360 version have SHORTER load times and lesser screen tearings. Yes clearly the PS3 version is superior to the Xbox360 version.

Once again, can you blame the Xbox360 for making Tekken 6 "worse"? I suggest you blame Namco Bandai for multiplatforming Tekken 6 to the Xbox360! I dunno why the games were scored differently when they're literally exactly the same. The 360 version has no extra features or gameplay balance. The gameplay is exactly the same, therefore how they got scored any differently is beyond me. Plus, citing review scores as "evidence" that a game version is superior is pretty moot.

The entire time I've played Tekken 6 there was NO screen tearing whatsoever, and we played in 1080i (the game gets upscaled to that from 576p anyway). The game doesn't take that much longer than the 360 version to load if you actually install it to the hard drive, so that's the reviewer's fault if they don't take advantage of that.

I never blamed the 360 directly, so I dunno where you came from with all that shit. I don't really give a rat's ass if Tekken goes to another platform since I don't worship video games or platforms.

Well, Tekken Tag 1 (arcade version) was just an expansion of Tekken 3. Same graphics, just added tag mechanism and all characters from past games.

The PS2 version just smootheded all textures and models.

I've noticed that some people say every new Tekken game is just a rehash, but the true Tekken fans always seem to spot the changes like night and day. I for one was mostly satisfied with T6 and Im looking forward to Tag Tourny 2.

Compare Tekken 4 to Tekken 5. The gameplay is so different it's not even remotely funny. The addition of Bound alone changed up the gameplay and strategy a lot. Of course though, these button mashers don't even know what Bound is so they'll say crap like that.

how about some inovation namco- or like a high quality single player streets of rage type of affair like you promised back in the tekken 3 days and failed to deliver time and time again

soul blade/calibers suffered the same fate really although to its merrit always used to boast a good single player option with EDGEMASTER mode
