After facing fierce competition from the iPhone and Android platforms this generation, does the future of Nintendo's leadership seem a little less concrete?
This image basically confirms that in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon we will be seeing an alternate story. While it has been stated by Nintendo multiple times that this was the case, they were never really clear on it.

I'm a mature gamer who wouldn't dream of dropping $250-$300 on a handheld even if it promised me a bj. I'd rather buy a console or a really nice phone for that money.

Well I am 24 I am still young but I do feel the DS is for a younger audience than myself. However, I love the DS so I don't feel the 3ds is too young for the mature audience.
I may wait for a while on this one and see if a) 3ds has a much better line up of decent games in years to come (currently there are only a select few) b) the new features really make a difference i.e are we going to get much more functionality with the firmware updates,how decent is the web browser and multi tasking capabilities? c) I will wait for the price to come down or at least some decent deals.
