PC always had the upper hand in performance simply because of being upgradeable during a consoles fixed system cycle. Bulletstorm is here and ready to utilize the consoles even deeper than normal to match the PC versions quality.

Bulletstorm running at this years EA event was at maximum settings, yet still the look of the game is confirmed on PC was confirmed to be the same for consoles next year when it’s released.

Since this is the case what more can these consoles do and what the next generation has to bring us

LOL, he said nigga in yesterday's KZ3 interview. Still a great interview even though campaign co-op wasn't really talked about from what I remember. Btw, this vid is actually a clip from last week's HHG show, so its technically a duplicate.

"Dont see what console owners could remotely win having the Pc version dumbed down. It doesnt make sense."

Yep that true. No one benefits really. And now that you bring that up, I think about times in which HHG has said that although its good that multiplatform games perform equally across the board, I distinctly remember him saying that he would like to see multiplatform developers take advantage of what the PS3 can do.

He wants to see developers take advantage of what the PS3 can do...yet says its "great news" when Epic decides not to take advantage of what the PS3 OR PC can do. Hmmmmm...

IdleLeeSiuLung5435d ago

I thought that HHG being a moron was a given!

Conloles5435d ago

Lol it might perform the same but it sure as shit won't look the same.

badz1495435d ago

HHG, you've spinning too much lately you hit your head to the wall or something? this is NOT good news at all! that's the slap in the face for PC gamers!

Pandamobile5435d ago

Good news for console gamers, not really so much for PC gamers. Another simple console shooter :(

raztad5435d ago (Edited 5435d ago )

Actually is not good news for anybody. Dont see what console owners could remotely win having the Pc version dumbed down. It doesnt make sense.

EDIT:

I think HHG is actually wrong regarding the whole PC=console version stuff. Game looks amazing on PC but as expected will be dumbed down for consoles. PC=console sounds a lot like PR stuff.

waterboy5435d ago

since those are the "consoles" your referring to

Nihilism5435d ago

+ bubbles raztad. Thankyou for not dissing PC like so many others. I agree 100%, neither platform gains by being 100% the same. Just look at Dragon Age on PS3....30frames constant. 360 version....20-30 frames.

I've seen many multiplats that truly make use of each platforms specs, and I hope this game is the same.

multipayer5435d ago

Unreal tournament 3 ran at a different speed on consoles(like moving slower), maybe thats what they mean... Regardless, I'll take the 1080p PC version with 60fps and will try to act like it's not better.

Pandamobile5435d ago

Yeah I remember hearing about that and laughing. They actually had to slow down the movement speed of the players in Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 and 360 because of the QC testers couldn't hit shit-all with the controllers.

NYC_Gamer5435d ago

i'm not hyped for this game...it just took alot of UT gameplay and ran

ASSASSYN 36o5435d ago

From what I saw in the trailer for this game is another corridor shooter without the walls. Every time you play it leads down the same path. I am getting sick of games that lack the wide open battles. BFBC2 went to that crap after the wide open single player campaign in the first BFBC. A step backwards because kids can't figure out objectives.

dizzleK5435d ago

good point, that's why i've cooled on fps'. i want tactical freedom yet all we get is doom with fancier graphics/physics.

ASSASSYN 36o5435d ago

Exactly. I remember when games struggled to get to open freedom in FPS games. Now it all is snapping back to corridor shooting game play.

KingKiff5435d ago

A round of COD anyone?

take your pick which one.

GaMe015435d ago

Good news

However I'm still on the fence about this game

Beacon Patrol, a Cooperative Digital Board Game, Will Sail Onto Steam in 2025

"Digital board games can be tons of fun, especially when they're cooperative. That's what's in store for Beacon Patrol from Assemble Entertainment. Based on the real-life board game by Torben Ratzlaff, Beacon Patrol has players work together to explore a map and create a network of coastal paths, all by placing tiles. It's a lot like Carcassonne and Kingdomino, but set on the high seas. The upcoming Steam version will support 4-player local co-op, and there's a single-player demo right now," says Co-Optimus.
