The Gears of War Original Soundtrack features over an hour of orchestral music from the game written by Kevin Riepl, orchestrated and conducted by Corey Status, and performed by The Northwest Sinfonia orchestra.
As the long-rumored Gears of War Collection looks like it may finally materialize on Xbox, the timing could not be better as Gears 6 and movie news swirls.

All jokes aside congratulations to all the gears fans it will be a blast I remember having fun on the first one on my 360 elite till got RROD and quit Xbox all together but that’s a story for another day.
Congratulations 🎊 🍾 🎉 🎈 🎉 🙏
I'm excited for this just aslong is on the pc also cause I don't have the newest xbox console.
Marcus Fenix and the crew could be back on your screens once more, as the rumored Gears of War Collection is near completion on Xbox.
Take it with a grain of salt this leaker has been wrong many Times
The connection has been rumoured in the past so there's some credibility but it's more if it's actually in testing or not
tell u what gears 3 on series x same 360 game but in 4k and 60fps is a dream it looks crystal clear
Huzaifah from eXputer "With a new Gears of War game possible, I'll go ahead and say that the original trilogy was the peak of the series and should get remastered."
1-3 are incredible with each one being bigger and better than the last. I don’t know what it is, but 4 was super underwhelming to me and 5 was slightly better than 4, but I didn’t feel the same epic feeling I had when going through 1-3. I hope 6 brings that epicness back, but yea like a full remake of 1-3 with current-gen visuals would be *chef’s kiss*.
I was actually devastated with Gears 1 Remaster on Xbox and PC. From when the OG released in 2006 right up until Gears 2 released a few years later. Me and a small group of friends would play it almost daily.
When the remaster arrived. It was annoying that they changed the way you could find a create games. The PC version was dead on arrival as it didn't release on steam just the crappy windows store so about 7 people (including me) bought it. I think I managed to find about 5 games in the first week of release. After that it was just a ghost town.
Not sure about Xbox version. Didn't actually try it until I got a series s in late 2022. It was completely dead online.
A new game would be best. I don't understand why gamers want to rebuy old games over something new.
Well It's about time, I've been waiting for this soundtrack. for those that don't know I collect OST's since I'm a VG music nerd. I have all FF and most RPG's, well over 1000 albums. I didn't know when this was coming out. I'll pick this up. Anyone like to trade PM me, I'll setup the FTP.
I also have some of the FF OST but have more of an finity for anime music. I love Yoko Konno Wolf Rain OST.
Gears music was suitable enough but i sure wouldn't want to listen to it on it's own - hardly Halo territory quite honestly and without identity.
Not all music is great in games.I would rate FF7 as the very best in an RPG - incredible.Castlevania 4 snes and Ps1 also has truly wonderfully tunefull masterpieces.Starfox Snes ,Mana Snes(gorgeous but only a handfull that truly stand out),Mana Ps1,Terranigma,Loads of Square games,Actraiser,Mystical Ninja 1 Snes
Other personal faves of mine are Goldeneye and Perfectdark N64 and Jet Force Gemini is rather smart.Obviously a lot of RPG's have lovely soundtracks but not every one as deserving of the same praise.
I like to listen to a game's soundtrack during the game itself and even though i adore the music in Halo for example , it would spoil things a little if i chucked it over to my mp3 - game music heightens the drama (bit of Marty for you there) and has been designed around this concept.Love the music but couldn't listen to it unless it was put to something else say another game for example - even something like Burnout i find works quite well with something a little less racey - even RPG music works oddly well.
I guess we take games music for granted but it does heighten the experience.I write music and one of the reasons i wanted to get into the business (not there quite yet) was because of glorious tunes i would always here starting from the C64 days and Rob Hubbard Martin Galway etc.
I wrote a mean rendition of Zelda a couple of years ago when C+VG held a competition.Nothing ever came of it mind because the competition results were never announced - got a call from a Jenny Nintendo whoever she was ,saying i had been shortlisted. That would have been a proud day had i got anywhere with that.
But yeah music in games sure is class.
There's loads of games iv'e forgotten Kelwkat007(too many)but i'd be here some time trying to list them all hehe.
