Lips: Party Classics Review | TheSixthAxis

TSA Writes:

Lips Party Classics is nothing more than an add on for a fairly average singing game, perhaps the next update or next Lips in the series will improve things, but until then this game is most certainly Singstar's poor distant cousin twice removed. We would only suggest that you buy this disc if you love Karaoke and don't own a PS3 or if you own Lips already and want to go for every song on the Party Classics disc.

Looking back to 2010 and the awesome party-starter Lips: Party Classics

James writes - "Not one to miss out, Microsoft Game Studios got in on the act and published their very own singing game, Lips. And whilst that in itself is a cracking game, it spawned a follow-up which almost always guaranteed a good night was to be had. Yes, I’m here to wax lyrical about the party-starter that is Lips: Party Classics."

El33tonline Review: Lips: Party Classics

El33tonline writes:

"… Hmm… Yeah…

Ok, so there’s a new Lips game called Party Classics. Well it’s not so new now because I spent some time trying to come up with something new to say about it without any joy. It’s the same as the last Lips (I Love the 80s), but it has a different set of songs – this time they’re from many different eras of music instead of one. It’s a cool companion edition to other Lips discs with 40 Party Classics (although some I hadn’t heard, and if I haven’t heard them before I’m not sure how they could be Party Classics since I’ve been to at least three parties), but in structure it’s essentially exactly the same as I Love the 80s and still not up to the epicness of SingStar."

Guardian: Lips Party Classics Review

As the name suggests, it's a (budget price) song pack for the rather popular Xbox 360 karaoke title – 40 singalong classics to get the party started. Or, perhaps more likely, keep it going or finish it in drunken style. Regular karaoke crooners will have been here before and newcomers will, at least, know most of the titles on offer.
