i'm so sick of lag in cod4.. why can't all games run like Killzone2 or MAG.. you can also tell they're playing on a Lan, so it's the actual code.. i hate that i have to shoot 3 feet in front of the person in order to hit them.. i want to be able to hit someone exactly where i'm shooting..

If you mean the sound delay, that's because the mic of the cam is getting sound from the person playing next to him.

This will be so much fun, even though i also enjoyed KZ2 and other online games, there is no denying that Modern Warfare 2 is back and ready for round 2.

Looks like the same old Call of Duty to me. Nothing new. Not buying this game. There are so many great tittles on the way: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5. No need to blow time and money on another COD.

there will be no control or video lag in MW2. Latency most likely will exist at times but the COD series doesn't have control, sound or video lag.

I am on the fence over this game. Only because I am so COD'd out. That and Kotick makes it hard for a guy like me to pull out my wallet with his arrogance and ignorance "but" I'm sure the hype will consume me a couple days before or the day of release. I'll head out to my local Best Buy (closest retail store to my house) and pick one up.

Because I'm a sucker and a schmuck. So I guess Kotick is right about us gamers and I am just mad about it.

Yes, it DOES look like COD4. You know why? Because it's a sequel...are you still with me here? Pay attention now...sequels, especially sequels of very successful games, are normally similar to the first game, but with small improvements and new content. Never mind the brand new single player mode. It's the same engine, so it will naturally look similar.

there is no such thing as "lag" on LAN.. unless they are wireless.. which would not only a waste of money but not noticeable enough for you to see.

Look at the difference from Uncharted to Uncharted 2. It's HUGE!

If COD MW2 is just more of the same old MW with a few tweaks then why bother at all? If I wanted to play the same crap over and over again I would play Halo numero whatever on the FailBox with the other Xbots.

some people become blinded by the hype.. but when you play it and realize that stuttering in the game because they didn't improve the code you're not gonna be so against me..

I'm hoping i'm wrong but u can't deny the lag it's annoying in the game, and as far as i can see there is lag in that video.. specially around the time they switch sides..

I'm upset that IW has not supported the game as they should've and i'm afraid it's gonna happen again, if you think this game is gonna be sooooo much better you're gonna be in for a treat.. the graphics and gameplay look the same which means the code is the same which means same issues with the game.. but whatever, buy it and love it blindly i'm gonna wait to see if it's a real improvement or not.. will play it at my friends and then decide

@Bulletooth- I saw no lag what so ever, maybe u saw a different vid and even IF there was any remote lag, its coming out in a month in a half. It should be fixed by then.

im just saying they need to be online for it to have lag, maybe you are seeing a drop in frames per second? but i heard it has a constant 60 fps but either way the game looks sweet and i didn't notice lag or spikes. the quality of the video sucks.

very impressed liking the flag runner mode i like games like CTF and sabotage and domination certainly pre ordering this but im waiting for it to be under £40 cheapest i've seen is £42 but i liked how long the match was on for 7-1 in total great game thats the one thing in W@W i hated the flag capture is only to 3 so if your playing a bunch of noobs the game is over in 2 mins cant wait to get using my AK47 in this

Wtf?! Of course it's cod again. That's sort of why it's called "Call of Duty". It's a franchise. Franchises have a certain kind of gameplay, meaning every game is basically the same but with different story, environments and with slight improvements across the board. They make a loud racket, but those games still sell millions each time so I suspect they're the minority. Look at ODST, 2million sold in like 24hours? Am I like the only one who actually thinks there is a nice graphics upgrade. To me the lighting looks way better, more polygons, more on screen objects, and better textures... I swear. Am I really misjudged in my eye for detail?

Im also a PS3 owner, not that there is anything wrong with owning an Xbox, but I just dont get it. Why do people complain. The game was praised before. Tons of people are stilling playing it online. Yeah, its not Killzone 2(which by the way, I loved but quit playing because my community of friends never played, which is another area that COD really conquered), but so what. Two totally different games and feels. And comparing it to Uncharted 2 is ridiculous. A FPS to 3rd Person??? Come on now. I myself will be getting both because both are gonna be good imo.

Yeah, it looks pretty good. Everyone just loves to whine and b[tch and moan because they expected Killzone 3 out of it.

I think the improved lighting is due to more of a contrast between sun and the shadows. Seems like the weather is sunnier this time around. There are tons more particle effects this time too, whether you're tearing apart an office building or the AC-130 is destroying the whole map.

The only thing I'm disappointed in is the static grass (once again), and probably the sky, too.

Also, lol, 50 cal with a heartbeat sensor. The guy must think that it works at 100+ yards...unless he is using it to make up for his weak secondary weapon.

You're not. most of the haters are PS3 owners imo. Why they are hating it I have no idea, maybe because it's a multi-plat game. I'm a PS3 only owner myself and this is the biggest game for me this year. I've been playing COD4 since launch and for a game to provide that much playability after all this time is a true testament to its quality. I've seen enough new stuff in this game already to keep me happy. I don't really care how short or long the SP is, this game is mostly about the MP at this stage. People are listing off games they would rather play, but if you like FPS games then why shouldn't I get it. I have no idea why people want to compare Uncharted 2 to COD. They are completely different games.

Well it's no Killzone 2 when it comes to graphics - but it doesn't really need to be. It's an upgrade over CoD4 for sure. On PC it should look great.

But it's not about the graphics - I hope they will do a really good job balancing out the perks, making martyrdom LESS ANNOYING, maybe having some bigger maps for those 50-player battles? :P

All in all it's just what I expected from a sequel. Shame they have to charge more for it. I am most looking forward to the single-player, though, which should be longer this time and hopefully less irritating on the harder difficulties. The main thing that caused this was the infinitely respawning enemies. I think they have been removed. It is just SO annoying that you are FORCED to sprint forward to kill the enemies. This is why I preferred KZ2's campaign (even though there were some parts with infinitely respawning enemies there as well).

Maybe I'll get into the online more this time? Who knows. CTF is AWESOME in my book (it's what I play most of the time in most games) so I'm glad they've added it.

I was as disappointed as most when they said it was coming back - IMO it should be removed completely.

As should grenades on spawn be removed for larger battles (especially when there's more than 30 people playing). Or at least it should be an option to disable grenades on spawn. At least they've got rid of grenades x 3.

Look people I hated C.O.D 4 but i still play it why you ask, because its fun and addicting the way a game should be and the new C.O.D is gonna be the same way Fun to play, but I will be Playing Uncharted 2 more (: plus ive played the MAG Beta and Sony does have a winner so dont Hate enjoy great games

If people love CoD's online so much, why won't IW make it a seperate game? There's so much crap on the 'net about the online portion that I'm beginning to think the single player is going to be just as short, if not shorter, then CoD4's single player.

It's sad, though, this'll get 10's everywhere because "teh muliplayar iz teh bestist!1!1!!!111".

been playing MAG for the last two days and i didn't feel like going back to cod4 after the servers were closed. this looks good but it doesn't look as fun as the experience i've had with MAG. maybe i'm just ready for a new FPS and tired of COD.
