not quite sure what "snoop" is blathering on about [below]. This thing is still way early and the competition is still reacting. Keyword: still.

I guess Miyamoto-san would say "I could do HOME" and MS, "we have XNA," but embracers of reality know that the aforementioned does not compare to what we're physically seeing in the video. Am I wrong here? =]

Looks Like SNE's got their sh1t together on this end. Just my take.

Cheers

From what i see it appears to consist in only of a few rooms. Now chances are there is a lot more to it, but in Home, how big is it?

It didn't appear that there are neighborhoods of users or anything, but the homes are separate from the world itself.

All of this makes me wonder, is home really a virtual world? or just a few rooms?

Anyways it could be cool, just not my cup of tea, and after all its a beta test.
So this could turn out to be cool.

I guess you haven't been following the videos for Home that have already been presented by Sony. Each person's apartment is its own separate instance and can only be accessed with permission of the owner of the apartment. The public areas, the gaming room, common room, and business area are the open access areas. They will most likely support anywhere from 40-60 people and will allow you to select which instance of these rooms you would like to be in so that you can congregate with your friends.

sorry for not mentioning it.

But anyways, As for Home's size, i didn't really hear much. Then home won't be that big, at least in size.

When people compared it to second life i thought it would be a little bigger.

Still nonetheless home will probably be good.

This looks great.
the whole world looks so smooth(and it`s a closed beta).

@snoop dizzle.
right now it is just a couple of rooms.
Sony said it would expand over time.
more rooms.
more games.
the more companys that get in it,
the bigger it`ll get.
it could end up huge.
in theory.

home will definitly grow. especialy when players can buy more space , like a 40 + player warhawk clan room.

Violater6195d ago (Edited 6195d ago )

Which is exactly why it should not be compared to second life.
Home is not a video gameor a virtual world, It is a staging point for video games and PSN user interactions. Like a virtual chatroom.

I know I will be enjoying those games in the arcade, I hope you get to put in high scores :)
and ill be kicking ass in pool.

Looks really good to only be in beta it'll probably even be so much better when its finally released. Load times look quick. I really can't wait to try this out.

So, I Finally Played Home

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.

I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.

Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
