Sony has more internal studios than MS and Nintendo combined. 2nd party studios are doing their thing as well. And with a 21 million plus install base there is no sense in timed exclusivity so games like Lost Planet 2 are now day in day. PS3 hasn't even been out a full 3 years and Sony is just getting started.

Tokyo Game Show is next. A price drop and an announcement that GT5 is coming this holiday season and its over.

3 AAA titles so far this year while MS has provided only an RTS game and exclusive DLC for a game almost a year old.

I thought Sony's showing at E3 was amazing. One after another they kept showing off games that just had me like "Damn. I WANT that, no....i NEED that game" lol. Sony's lineup is just killer for the 2009 FISCAL year.

I have no idea who it was, but i remember seeing somebody link to a video in another E3 thread. The link was for gametrailers i think, but it's Invisible Walls (had never heard of), but episode 60. They go over the conferences (saying too how Sony's software lineup was just straight up impressive), but they're take on E3 as a whole is exactly how i'd see it. They told it perfectly I think, and have to agree with the guy in there how my mouth was open most the time and how i literally said "wow" and "holy sh*t" out loud multiple times lol. i'm not hunting down the link, but just google "Invisible Walls" and episode 60. You'll find it, i'd recommend watching it.

this year was a bit more PSP heavy than what I had hoped, with not as many PS3 features and service announcements that I was expecting...but game wise...there is no argument Sony has the strongest upcoming lineup...for this year and into 2010 so far...

Forest Gump is FAST, just like in the movies. Ps3 is has the best titles. The amount of work they put on games is outstanding. And it doesn't matter if the titles get pushed back, it just assures that ps3 owners will get the best game when it launches. Don't need a price drop, if you can't afford it too bad, wait a little and save up, be patient and you'll get what you really want in life.

Yeah I am surprised too...I think Gametrailers just feels sorry for Sony and they want to prove to all the ps3 fanboys that they are not biased....I seriously doubt that most sites would agree with them. I'm not saying the ps3 doesn't have a pretty good lineup, but compared to the 360's lineup it's a little weaker. Which must have games, other than Uncharted 2, are coming out in the next 6 months? On 360 you have about 4 or 5 big games coming. Anyway...for me the 360 lineup is better.

PS3 has had Killzone 2, MLB 09, and inFamous. This fall we get Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank: ACIT, Demon's Souls, NGS2, some choice multiplats, and MAG.

I think PS3 owners will survive.

The PS3 had some good games being shown, but I don't it was any bit better than what 360 was showing. To be fair I would of given it to PS3 for the footage of Last guardian. Anything other than that really nothing over 360 and was more of a tie to me.

Best Lineup of E3 <> Best Lineup of the Year.

Sony has presented titles that have no release date like GT5, Rockstar Game, Project Trico. And from the only heavy titles with release dates (Uncharted 2, GOW3) only one releases this year.

For this year, the Xbox 360 is much better in my opinion (3 Heavy weights vs 1) and for the next, we know that Sony always starts strong in the year (Though MAss Effect 2 and Lost Planet 2 will do so too for the Xbox 360) and as the year passes by, we'll know more about MS 2010 plans.

All in all, taking in consideration games that release this year, The Xbox 360 still has the nod.

Too true. If you have a PC worth a darn you really don't need a 360 since most of the "exclusives" are available on PC. I don't have that kind of PC and I don't think I'll ever get one. I'd much rather take that money and put it toward some of the great games coming this holiday season.

My Core2Duo @ 2,7 GHz, Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS, 4 GB Ram are just waiting for some "360 exclusives" to chew on. I know the specs are a bit outdated by now, but I can still play most games with max setting. And if I want to see some real beauty, I just turn on my PS3 and play <insert name of exclusive Sony game here>.

The sad thing is, that even if you buy a pre-built computer, you can easily play a lot of games with decent settings. I know mine can play ME out of the box. The only thing I'll need to upgrade is the graphics card and by the time I do that, the good cards now will be cheap.

yes and no. ATI has the some of the best performers for the price. NVIDIA may have better top of the line, but you pay a lot more for it. you can compare a HD4890 to the GTX285 in performance, but the HD4890 is around $100 dollars cheaper. then u get to the GTX295 which is a monster, though the HD4870 X2 can run almost as well, but you are spending $200-300 more on what comes down to little improvements.

Indeed, with 360 developers looking to cash in on the PC market, the PC spec requirements for their games aren't going to increase between now and the end of 360's lifecycle. Now would be a good time to buy a new machine if those games are relevant to you.

And u have the added benefit of not having to pay for what a PC gamer has always enjoyed - free online gaming.

Yeah it sucks when things get pushed back, but Sony refers to fiscal years when they talk about release dates. If they say something like, "It's coming out in '09," they are usually refering to their fiscal year which ends in March. It's kind of bullshit, but it is what it is.

the loss of Splinter Cell and Mass Effect 2 are unfortunate.

IGN confirmed at E3 2009 that MS signed a contract with Ubisoft back in 2007 (guess how) for Conviction's exclusivity. And in 2007, 360 was all over PS3 so it would be accurate to assume the Conviction wont be a timed exclusive.

Mass Effect 2 on the other hand.....well its EA. Anything could happen.

Regardless, the PS3 does have the best lineup IMO. For me though, The Last Guardian was the only game that was needed to win. Cant wait.

I seem to look for the same things they do from E3, so yeah - i agree with their choice. I'm not going to lie just to not be called a "fanboy", but sony did easily have the best software lineup for ME..

That isn't to say the others were bad, i fancy getting Mass effect 2, Dragon age and star wars: the old republic for the PC and i'll definatly be getting Splinter cell: conviction for 360 and probably shadow complex.

Considering what we as gamers have to look forward to in 2009 and 2010 be it on the PC/XBOX360/PS3/PSP/DS, we can only praise the work and dedication of those developers and before you ppl start saying "oh but ps3 has a nice lineup", "oh but xbox360 has a nice lineup" i say to you who cares.

The fact of the matter is that we can consider ourselves lucky in having so many games coming out in these 2 years contrary to the past 6-8 years but one thing which really will annoy me is that most of the ps3/xbox360 games are coming out in march 2010 :P.

Im afraid i wont have enough money to buy them all lol. Better start saving hehe.

It's a shame Sony's press conference went on too long. they talked way too much and it was easy to forget some of the games they showed. After when i was chatting with some mates we were discussing the games and someone goes, 'and that new rockstar game' and i'm there like, wow completely forgot that.

my only problem is that it seems more and more games getting pushed back to 2010. thats not so much a bad thing though cus right now i have 2 many games 2 play lol and more on the horizon.

Despite 360 managing to get some key games from sony, sony just keeps bringing new stuff. 360's lineup is also great and i'm certainly happy to own the console, but the ps3 has the variety. that may not translate into massive sales figures, but its certainly good for gamers :D
