hallelujah thank you God for playStation 3

Hallucinate5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

LOL at the people that said the screens were fake...anyways MP is looking awesome kinda reminds of that spyhon filter game or was it splinter cell, anyways it was awesome and it was on the ps2

TheExecutive5908d ago

looks fun as hell. I cant wait to throw someone off of a building... I hope the games dont turn into frag fests though (looks like they might).

Still, I am glad the team grew much larger to take on all three modes now. I doubt it will effect the SP campaign.

GVON5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

it's looking great, can't wait.and were not even at E3 yet.

morganfell5908d ago

There shouldn't be any doubt now why people buy a PS3...

ToastyMcNibbles5908d ago

damn right morgan...let go of the hate and play beyond...one word: AMAZING

Why o why5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

thats 3 new ip sequels this gen already, 4 if you include R+C....Whats to hate on really huh. Our need as gamers is to be fed, im eating well and theres a lot still on my plate with even more baking in the oven

@morganfell some will still hate but when im 'playing' and others are 'hating' and i just wont give a dee.

morganfell5908d ago

For all of us that owned a PS3 since day 1 games like this are payback. Not that we haven't had a huge payback already, but this is sweet.

NNNW5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

i think i saw 5 players on the red team

sorry i know that was kinda random haha

Masta_fro5908d ago

its co-op...

good news, even though im not too sure about uncharted having multiplayer...i always though it was just a great single player game.

I trust naughty dog so lets see...

Chubear5908d ago

how PS3 exclusive games with online look just like their SP campaigns graphically? That's just insane! Usually the online graphics take a big hit to help with online fluidity but this gen Sony's changed all that.

Just look at all these games like GT, MGS4, Motorstorm, Resistance, Killzone 2, Uncharted etc etc No matter the quality in the SP segments, their MP never look like they take any hits at all. Incredible.

callahan095908d ago

It does look REALLY fun. I can't wait to get my hands on the beta.

Also, it turns out some of the rumors were NOT true. Like the 4 vs. 4 limit in competitive. In this video at one point you can clearly see that it's at least 5 vs. 5. So who knows how many it ACTUALLY supports.

WhittO5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

OMG !!!

I was so glad to hear they have more people dedicated to working just on the MP and everyone else still all focussed on the SP !! means that neither will be "tacked-on" !

The fact you can climb everything still AND use cover AND use the punch combo's AND help eachother up walls etc.
Basically puts ALOT of games to shame!

Not to mention a SEPERATE CO-OP campaign with it's own story! that makes all my fears about co-op go away since the SP experience will still be your own etc and they wont like make some missions which HAVE to be played by two people.

wow Uncharted 2 has really gone above ALL of my expectations.

EDIT: and ye, the Uncharted engine really does have the best water effects than any other game, even in Multiplayer.

nycredude5908d ago

Gamespot had an interview with Naughty Dog and they confirmed 5 on 5 mp.

ultimolu5908d ago

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG OMG...

*faints again*

Kaneda5908d ago

Incredible! can't wait!!!

meepmoopmeep5908d ago

good to see the voucher being packaged INSIDE the infamous game package

not like i wasn't going to buy infamous, anyhow.

Dark General5908d ago

I was wrong. I'll admit it, i'm not ashamed to admit it. I was wrong. The multiplayer for Uncharted 2 looks... Good. Ugh I'm making myself sick i still wish it was single player only with offline coop. But the multi does look incredible from the footage. Excuse me while a weep silently.

Traveler5908d ago

Well, I'll be honest, Uncharted was already my favorite game this generation and Uncharted 2 was already my most anticipated upcoming game, but this multi-player mode looks AMAZING and my anticipation for this game is now astronomical.

Naughty Dog are so talented. If any Naughty Dogs are reading this, just know, you guys are awesome.

ZuperAmazingCooKie5908d ago

Uncharted 2 > Killzone 2
Naughty Dog > Guerrilla

Uncharted just shat on every 3rd person shooter out there in terms of everything, and on every FPS in terms of fun, or so it seems. Well, then again, it may tie with Warhawk in terms of fun because Warhawk is just a lot of fun!

Anyway, I hope that all parts of this game (Campaign, Co-op, and competitive) are equally good, and that all of them surpass the original game in terms of quality.

Muggles5908d ago

the single-player, this can only be good. I trust you Naughty Dog; you won't let us down!

GVON5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

http://uk.ps3.ign.com/artic...

but this sounds ace

"You're going to be able to save entire multiplayer matches to your hard drive and then edit them and view them in Cinema Mode. Rotating the camera at will and zooming in on specific fights will be just some of the commands you have for the ten cinema save slots at your fingertips. Naughty Dog didn't show the mode, but it definitely sounds interesting. "

chaosatom5908d ago

awesome info gvon. good work. Bubbles.

Chubear5908d ago

Now imagine what you could do with that once PSN's HOME appliances for your apartment get implemented. You could just have that edited scene or a clip streaming of a picture frame or one or all of your HDtvs in your space when you have you're friends over for a chat and hanging out.

I'm sorry but this is truly beyond. People would have to be cray not to be impressed with what Sony's planning and delivering for gamers. I just haven't seen any of the other competitors pushing the boundaries like Sony's doing for the PS3 fanbase.

Just too awesome.

pwnsause5908d ago

i think im gonna faint because of the awesomeness that is Uncharted 2!!!

interrergator5908d ago

im with u right there wow i hope its better than the first one ugh cant wait

holy shiiiii did you see the smoke effects im going to pre-order inFamous right now no joke http://www.gamestop.com/Cat...

-x.Red.x-5908d ago

can't wait, hope this won't mess with the SP

Ju5908d ago

The nice side effect of that is, that it'll push people in doubt of inFamous over the fence, as well. I'll do that same, gotta run to BB and pre-order mine, ASAP.

Christopher5908d ago

Depending on how open the buildings are and how much of the environment you can climb on and around, this could be fun. But, single player is my main focus and I have faith that Naughty Dog will deliver a great game again.

iHEARTboobs5908d ago

I agree. Finishing Uncharted made me want to play another adventure game. It was really fun. I can't wait for this one. I also didn't know that Naughty Dog plays Dodgeball with Sony Santa Monica. I wonder if that's the secret to making great games...

Uncharted 2 Is the Most Important PlayStation Exclusive of All Time

In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.

gold_drake235d ago

it was pretty good. especially the multiplayer

KyRo235d ago

I loved this era on multiplayer games from Sony. People used to call the modes tacked on multiplayer but they were enjoyable. I loved Factions even more. I'm Still gutted that the second one isn't coming out.

-Foxtrot235d ago

Yeah, that one game where it not only has an amazing single player but the multiplayer was also just as good.

A fresh a breath air with it's more "skill focused, less is more" multiplayer in a time during COD fever where every other game with online was trying to be like it.

Shame NaughtyDog eventually did do COD like things with Uncharted 3 and 4, they ruined what made the original so good. It become an over the top arcade fest in the end.

Inverno235d ago

Ironic cause the MP was basically Halo, and Bungie helped on the technical side of things too. MP was more simple back then, I've said this before but I played U2 MP religiously. I sucked at it like you have no idea, but mah gawd did I have so much fun. Can't find an MP game that hooked me like U2s these days. Then Factions came along and while it had its problem I found new religion with it. Agh damn it why did they cancel Factions 2 bruhh.

gold_drake235d ago

i had so much fun too, played almost every night with mates or cousins baha

Relientk77235d ago

It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.

RaidenBlack235d ago (Edited 235d ago )

Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...

RaiderNation235d ago

I would argue it's God of War.

darthv72235d ago

I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.
