Prey 2 was Bethesda showing their true colours, unfortunately. The death of that was due to backhanded tactics in order to force an easy aquisition.
Was Prey 2 ever officially cancelled? I could have sworn Bethesda was trying to find another developer.
Anyway, not sure it counts cuz it wasn't technically in development but, Shenmue III.

Alien colonial marines on the wii-u comes to mind. despite its flaws, using the gamepad as a motion tracker screen just looked like a cool bonus.

I believe someday Bethesda will make Prey 2 . I hope after the new Doom game comes out , ID Software will make a sequel to RAGE.
Prey 2 looked pretty damn good even from the E3 showing. It's not often we actually get a Bounty Hunter game.
Sure wish that awesome Avengers game could've gone all the way before THQ went under.

i would love to see a sequel where the real "Child of prophesy" is born and he has to learn about what he is and eventually take the sword back.
This has boggled my mind for some time, why has it taken so long to even talk of a HS sequel.

Imagine renewing Nariko by her being reborn into a land devastated by a wayward God. Mourning the loss of his son to a world he redevoted himself too. And Nariko is navigating the warped land finding herself with a new energy fueling her to save the people from this wrathful god. Only to find out that the god is no other the Kratos the Divine killer
I was wondering how a sequel was possible with the way the first one ended. I definitely would love another game in the series, especially now that I know Sony owns the IP. I initially thought it was Ninja Theory who owned it. It really demonstrated the graphical power of the PS3 at the time. Some of the boss battles were epic, especially the final one!
They should have done a sequel, Anna Torv was great in it.
They could have easily revived her somehow.

The game was gorgeous at the time of release but I remember the frame rate being awful on certain scenes
Instead they made a half arsed movie years later. PS360 era has waaaay too many games left behind on it. Honestly it's like every generation prior to the PS4/Xbone gen is like an alternate reality of gaming. You can pinpoint the moment gaming shifted to a more mainstream focus.
