Amid the devastating data breach of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 developer Insomniac, leaked slides have revealed Sony’s internal concern at competitor Microsoft’s emerging strategy following its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Finally, the Vietnamese government has officially responded to Steam being blocked in the country.
VPN to buy games, fuck that if it's allowed or not, or just use a VPN and torrent what you can.
If the game is crap then yes there will always be negative feedback it comes with the territory. It's called word of mouth or welcome to the internet. Where the truth about a game comes out really fast whether the game is good or crap. If you can't handle the criticism because of a game then why publish the game. Why should people who never criticized or even played the game be punished? Vietnam has some really screwed up laws block Steam because they don't answer us rule. And going on a witch hunt with Steam please. Where's the proof, where's the evidence of this witch hunt. Somebody is butt hurt and has a Vietnamese Karen leading the witch hunt.
The talented music maker discusses her process, challenges and, of course, magic!
Sony owns a fair few iconic franchises - many dating right back to the original PlayStation. But while we’re pretty familiar with the likes of ongoing series such as God of War, Horizon, and Gran Turismo, there are plenty of PlayStation franchises that haven’t seen the light of day in a long time. So in this video, we’re going to be taking a look at the status of PlayStation’s many IPs, and checking in on when we last heard from them.
Here lies The Infamous Series; once a shining beacon of free flying, lighting bolt sniping, and wire riding amazing gameplay, it has been laid to rest and be forgotten for what seems like forever despite being loved by millions. Plot next to Wipeout across from NBA Jam.
Still baffling they cancelled Twisted Metal, Factions 2 and Spider-Man Multiverse LS game but thought Concord looked good enough.
Ape Escape, Parappa / Lammy, Gravity Rush, good times. Always hoping for them to make a return, or at least similar type games, such as the newly-announced Astro Bot, but one game isn't enough. Bring back the joyfulness of the 90's era of gaming.
Some people on here told me that Sony isn't worried about the 3rd place console 👀
They got scared of Microsofts growing live service games
Like Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite, Minecraft etc and now Call of Duty, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo 4 etc.
They called their own strategy outdated 👀
Looks like Xbox is ahead of the curve once again and Sony is trying to catch up. Hence the Bungie acquisition and the "12 game" live service strategy.
Maybe this is why Sony has slowly started to reel in its live service push. Why p*** off your fanbase with GaaS content which is a gamble whether it will be successful or not. If it wasn’t successful and MS grows bigger than most people will just get annoyed eventually and drift other places.
Better to double down on what they are good at.
Sony is shook! Damn man. They in turmoil
Well obviously it's a big concern for them.
This shouldn't even be surprising, less surprising than the fact that Sony is outselling xbox 3:1 even when xbox is taking huge losses per console and in the year that was supposed to be their big comeback, on top of being down YoY after COVID.
Then buy a major publisher as well Sony. Spend some money to compete.
