"The Oslo-based (Norway) independent games developer Snowcastle Games, are today very happy and thrilled to announce that they have just released the "Friends' Pass" update for their adventure crafting game “Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure”, (the said update is available right nowfor PC via Steam Early Access)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
“Another month has passed us by and during it, many incredible indie games released so let's celebrate the 12 best from March 2024.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
It’s always exciting trying an experience you’re not familiar with. Even if you prefer one genre, or style of play, there are likely more you have yet to discover. This is one thing I genuinely enjoyed about E3, and conventions in general, is the occasional title that introduced seemingly foreign concepts. In the case of Ikonei Island, it’s a spin-off of Earthlock, with Snowcastle Games trying to give their own spin on the island sim genre. Given their previous success, is this a winner, or is it an island best left unexplored? - IS
“I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun the mellow journey within Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure is. Once I picked it up, I found myself not wanting to put it down as it rewards you for almost everything you do and it has a long list of activities and items to keep you busy. Hopefully, the developers iron out the glitches soon as this cosy game is certainly something special.” - Mary Billington from Video Chums.
This doesnt look bad. I was really enjoying the earthlock game the original until I was trying to just grind out a couple levels and realized i wasnt getting experience from fights. Kinda killed it for me.
