This doesnt look bad. I was really enjoying the earthlock game the original until I was trying to just grind out a couple levels and realized i wasnt getting experience from fights. Kinda killed it for me.

It doesn't, but I didn't know about the stuff which you just pointed out :S

I like grinding in rpgs,so per usual once I was set free in the world I just hit the ground grinding got to level 7 and it just stopped. I imagine as the game goes on it increases what your able to level to. One thing I did like and I may be off from remembering but the devs weren't completly happy with I so they did a a pretty good chunk of an update and released it with added stuff , etc.

It's reddit but it tells a little

In the case of Ikonei Island, it’s a spin-off of Earthlock, with Snowcastle Games trying to give their own spin on the island sim genre. Given their previous success, is this a winner, or is it an island best left unexplored? - IS

Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure Review by Video Chums

“I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun the mellow journey within Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure is. Once I picked it up, I found myself not wanting to put it down as it rewards you for almost everything you do and it has a long list of activities and items to keep you busy. Hopefully, the developers iron out the glitches soon as this cosy game is certainly something special.” - Mary Billington from Video Chums.
