Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Review [Capsule Computers]

Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:

"The Nintendo DS was home to many gems, some of which happened to release so late in the handheld’s life that they may have been overlooked despite featuring a well-known development team. Such was the case with Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective as it released in the West just a month before the 3DS hit the scene and with Shu Takami at the helm, this title quickly became a hidden gem that had remained locked to the handheld for well over a decade, outside of an iOS port shortly after release. Now freed from its mobile prison Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective has made the jump to current platforms but does this classic make the jump successfully?"

I think I'm going to have to dust off the ole Switch to try this game. One of those games that everyone seems to like and isn't the normal game I tend to stay away from on Nintendo.

Same here! It's among my favorites on that system! =D

Review - Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (Xbox One) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "Ghost Trick is a game unlike anything else, and it simply continues to delight and enrapture, years later, far removed from the console where it started. If I could, I would develop my own 4K, dual screen handheld to cram this game onto, but I have no money and no talent, so here I am. Instead, I am imploring fans from all walks – the visual novel crowd, the detective crew, the Pomeranian fanatics – to come and take this ride. It’s charming, it’s complex, it’s lovingly crafted and it honestly surprises me that Capcom gave so much care to a game that seemed to slip under so many radars. It’s only till the sun rises, though, so make haste to take your time. You may only have one chance to find out the truth."
