@Christopher This just seems like a screw up in the localization process / someone copy pasting the text. Doesn’t seem to be anything more than that. The English version and other countries have it printed normally.

And trying to use a misprinted box art in regulatory arguments would be extremely petty and unlikely to yield any results.

And my point to Sully was that he’s claiming MS put this on the box or had some say in the box art - but Activision are not part of MS - box art is 100% the responsibility of Activision.

It seems intentional and Canada uses dual English/ French languages. Seems impossible that it could simply be a typo as how can it be missed by so many people responsible for the design, packaging and preparation of the physical copies covers?

@Gamesual, that's like saying there can be no bugs in a game as lots of people have worked on\tested it. Typos have been on many "big" things in the past, even game, video and cd boxes. Yes they are dual language but why English for XBox and French for Playstation, that makes 0 sense to me.

Of course it's a typo... As for why would they mistake it, obviously they have two versions of this, one for PS5 and one for the Series S/X, they likely copy pasted both lines from whichever version box they designed first, different people handled revising the different languages, only one of 'em forgot to change that line for the second version.

They've refused to sign anything to say it will stay cross-platform. If they did, they wouldn't be in the situation they are currently in. They've only said until the end of Sony's marketing agreement w/Activision, which is required by law and not because Microsoft is such a nice guy.

Sony flat-out signed away platform exclusivity with Bungie, for example. This is something that is possible.

Xbox doesn’t determine your ping.

Activision, your ISP, physical location, network HW & configuration do.

Also, Xbox, PS and PC all play on the same servers, so the ping cannot “be worse” for someone on any platform than it is on other platforms really.

I didn't say xbox determined the ping. It's trash on xbox. I get better ping when crossplay is activated. I have a better connection on other games. Possible nat type issue. With cod I have issues. Not with other games.

NAT shouldn't really matter for COD gameplay though since all competitive gameplay is going through a dedicated server. NAT type only really matters for direct/P2P connections (e.g. voice chat).

I'd also make sure you're wiring your console, Wi-Fi will add substantial latency.

Oh, and with cross-play off you may end up with worse ping because the vast majority of people will have cross-play enabled, so due to the smaller matchmaking pool with cross-play disabled, you may end up matching against people who are physically further away from you, meaning the server will also be in a region closer to them.
