It’s a strange move adding supercars to a Formula One game. There are countless racing games where you can get behind the wheel of some of the hottest supercars in the world, so why add them to F1 22?
EA Sports writes: "This is the first time that an upcoming real-world livery has been added to a current F1 game. With the popular reception that the C43 has had, we’re sure you’re going to love how it looks in-game.
The striking red and black design that Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu will drive for the 2023 season is an evolution of last year’s model, which secured P6 in the 2022 Constructors’ Championship - the team’s best result in more than a decade."
"PlayStation, PC and Xbox players who have not yet picked up F1 22 can try the game for free starting 20th October."
"Unveiled ahead of their home Grand Prix in Monza last week, Ferrari raced in a unique livery to commemorate the occasion. We’re delighted to share that for a limited time, this special Giallo Modena livery replaces the current Scuderia Ferrari F1-75 design in F1® 22.
Not only is the striking yellow accented livery in-game but so are the updated helmets, gloves, boots, and overalls of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, as well as the attire of the Ferrari pit crew, all of whom were dressed to impress."
Seeing 'normal' cars in an F1 game feels weird... but the gameplay looks decent.
