I was actually prepared to buy again if they made significant upgrades to the graphics, as well as some new content, a bit like what they did with the first person mode on the PS4/XOne, I know, wishful thinking!
But after what they showed, I definitely won't be dipping again, very disappointed!
I know I was watching a stream so the picture quality wouldn't be the best but that trailer just sucked!

Yes but that will mainly be due to the casual market. Hardcore gamers on all platforms are actually very few. Those gamers won't buy again but it's odd what these journalists say...

They're speaking mainly to the hardcore market and yet they refer to the casual market all the time.

@doomedguy casual v hardcore that ok Chestnut but it doesn't hold up GTA is t a casual game you would simply just like to believe it is because you feel all that money has encroached on your hobby so you label the players casual. Simple fact is they are the people that made it the most profitable entertainment product ever I'm no fan of GTA v I much prefer IV for its story and mechanics but I can't argue against v and it's popularity and I wouldn't call it's fans casual.

No, actual they are very well made. The problem is that Rockstar milks each entry to the point where you end up getting sick of it because you're seeing a new literation year after year when all you want is an actual sequel! Trust me, it's annoying the shit out of me.

Just a personal preference because I never cared for the series. Gimme Doki Doki Literature Club, The Last of Us, BioShock, Life is Strange, Mass Effect, Doom, Wolfenstein or Clannad any day over that. Hell, I enjoy Duke Nukem Forever even more, lol. Cyberpunk 2077 is a thousand times more enjoyable on a base PS4.

I would only CONSIDER playing it if there was a significant upgrade (which this trailer did ANYTHING but instill confidence there will be one), and only if it were a free upgrade.

I was very impressed too with the high quality single player games Sony is creating. God of War is on a whole new level. Horizon looks so good. Insomniac is on total fire with Marvel. Spider Man 2 and Wolverine are going to be huge system sellers.

i think that Spider Man 2 and Wolverine are much more system sellers than Horizon Forbidden West, only because its also a PS4 game, but that's just my opinion.

It’s more so because they’re more established icons as well. The first Horizon sold over 20 million copies, it’s definitely a system seller at this point.

But considering the PS5 is selling out anyway it doesn’t really matter 😅

I don't like the fact they held back games unless they're to early to show.

umm ... the list looks fine, but is it too late to omit that TLOU Remake?
TLOU Remaster still holds up and its better that ND dedicates their resources in creating a new IP this gen or at least some new sequel rather than remake a barely old game.
And if you're considering, Bluepoint, then also some PS1 title remake will be more welcoming.

Honestly it was a great show, and so was the XB shows at e3 and Gamescom.

I am just glad competition is back. Some of the best innovation we saw was when 360 and PS3 were strong.

Insomniac releases Spider-Man, 3 DLC, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Spider-Man: Remastered, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in the span of 3-4 years. Bethesda re-releases Skyrim for the 10th time after 10 years.

This is a perfect example of taste pushes your gaming platform of choice. I love 3rd person action and adventure games that are strongly narrative based. So basically everything sony showed off was why I own a PS5 lol. This guy has different taste and therefore gravitated towards the xbox. Neither is wrong, both should exist. There will always be games that are exclusive to one that I wish I could play but not enough to spend the cash on another system.

Nintendo, MS, and Sony gamer here, a videogame fan since the late 70s...Wait, why do people feel the need to say what platform they prefer or game on...Anyhow, I love what all the console makers bring to the table, and I like what I saw from the showcase. A healthy gaming industry is great for all gamers, imo.
