The PlayStation 4 exclusives we want to see on PC

Console-only games we'd love to get our hands on, ranked.

potatoseal1334d ago

If there is a Bloodborne 2 incoming, which I believe there is, then Sony should put Bloodborne 1 on PC just before the number 2 releases. For obvious reasons.

LordoftheCritics1334d ago (Edited 1334d ago )

As much as I really want the Playstation games to come to PC, I think maybe Sony should hold on to them and we should all buy a PS5.

Sony is tiny compared to MS but have always delivered in games and we should support companies that actually cater to us gamers. I will buy the new Nvidia gpu but will also grab a PS5. I think maybe have a 3yr gap before releasing the exclusives to other platforms.

Sonic-and-Crash1333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

@ Lord i agree with yoou ...to be honest i dont want any PS game to come to PC ...the console will lose its value ...i dont understand what PS managers are thinking and leave these open chances of bringing games to PC ...Are nt watching what Nintendo does ?? Which they sell millions copies of software and people buys their games on their proprietary console and noones complains???.....

I said it before: PS managers /CEO follow the Nintendo example, dont give your valuable IPs to PC , in contrast keep exclusives as premium content to augment sales of your hardware and help studios to develop quality products

catlover3161333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

Meh, if I buy the games they put on pc I don’t see a reason to buy redundant hardware. Millions will still buy a ps5 anyway.

Well, we want good exclusive games released on PC. We should not all buy a PS5 as I wish to build my own hardware. Maybe Sony should come up with an OS for x86 or a store front on PC. I don't like being locked into eco systems and enjoy the openness of the PC universe. You are exposed to so many different perspectives and not limited to a singular console bias. Look what happened to PlayStation, their console sold high numbers and people automatically equate that to the best game titles, when quite a few were mediocre and now have stunted the bar which we judge a great game.

I agree with the logic but this is one game I would forever keep as a PS exclusive. I'm not sure there will be a sequel, they banged out a couple of DS sequels but there's not been a single solitary peep from them about Bloodborne 2.

sprinterboy1333d ago

If gamers haven't played bloodborne yet, they never will, it's time to pass it over imo to PC.

_Decadent_Descent1333d ago

Bloodborne deserves Mods/4K 60+ fps. To want it locked up and never to shine in its full glory is sad.

sprinterboy1333d ago

Bloodborne is a good choice for PC

Nacho_Z1333d ago

On the other hand if there was a B2 and B1 was only exclusive to PS there would be a fair few PC players who would be 'forced' into buying a PS to play it.

I wouldn't want there to be a situation where people could say "what's the point of buying a PS? All the best games are on PC."

sampsonon1333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

@Chriswynnetbh: The reason PS games are soo good is because they make them for one platform. They don't need to worry about the lowest common denominator. If they start Putting their games on pc they will lose console sales. Call me a fanboy all you want, i say "bleep" none ps players. If they don't want to buy the hardware then suffer. Everything in life doesn't have to be catered to everyone. Plus, from what i am hearing, sony is making that gen leap and their ps5 games won't work on a ps4 or pc's without the top of the line ssd. So in the end it wouldn't help sales, it would only hurt them.

PS4 games? sure, if they are coming out with a second game of a popular ip i don't see an issue with them bringing it to pc. But if you want to play ps5 games, then you should have to purchase the bloody console like everyone else. I only bring up ps5 because this is ultimately where this conversation is going to lead.

If you want to play the games then support the console, or shut up!
PS doesn't owe you anything.
Oh?! and ps+ is a money maker for the company, are you willing to pay for the sub? if not, because pc players always make fun of console gamers because of the fee, then you will never see new ps games going to pc, ever!

crazyCoconuts1333d ago

That's the thing - Sony's product is the platform. The awesome exclusive games are to draw customers to the platform. Not just to buy *Sony* games, but to buy *all* your games. Remember Sony isn't making much money on console sales (especially new ones). PC is such a strange beast because there's a significant % of PC players that will not switch platforms and nothing Sony does will change that. So for those people, Sony might as well get some $ for helping fund more game development. But there's still some percentage of PC users that might be tired of dealing with Windows updates or whatever and are ready to switch over - Sony wants to keep the exclusives on their platform to entice those users. It's some kind of delicate balance they have to maintain...

itsmebryan1332d ago

When they bring more games to PC will people say "Playstation has no games!" Like like they do with Xbox?

For me some games like flight sims, FPS, and keyboard and mouse games are better on PC. The rest I like on consoles with a bigger screen and surround sound.

Going by how popular the Souls series is on computers. I would say that both Bloodborne and Demon's Souls would be tremendously successful on the platform.

Spiderman would likely follow that success. Meanwhile the rest of the games would be similar to Horizon Zero Dawn. So pretty good, but not amazing.

That is for Steam though. If they went with Epic is hard to say how well it would really sell. But with Epic guaranteed sales, their numbers would also be pretty good.

Though I don't think we are really going to see much. Sure they talked about it on a investors meeting. But going by how poorly they treated the port of HZD. I'm pretty confident PC support is not a priority.

Tech51333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

"But going by how poorly they treated the port of HZD. I'm pretty confident PC support is not a priority."

Currently the PC port of HZD is in a much better state. which is effectively the PS4 pro version with a couple uncapped options at the very least. it was missing a couple things but those have now been fixed. pc version has snow deformation as well. https://youtu.be/qxQXCK3omu...

Sony has actually shown a considerable effort and priority in updating their ports.
the only major complaint PC gamers had for HZD PC version was how much features and settings it would have for enthusiasts. in which case pc gamers should already know that this is a port of a older game.
that being said, HZD pc port is definitely playable and has a few options for pc gamers to toggle and would be considered slightly above the standard for a port.

catlover3161333d ago

Hzd came too late, and without the huge marketing push it had on ps4.

Thundercat771334d ago

Sony putting old exclusive games on PC that are no longer generating any money and have already done their part to move the console sales is good in order to create interest on PC players to grab the Playstation and generate some more money.

It is clear that Sony will not put their newly exclusive games on PC in order to hurt Playstation sales. It would be ridiculous.

catlover3161333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

I don’t think it would hurt PlayStation sales all that much, and they still make money from software sales anyway.

angh1333d ago

Most of the money Sony is making is from third party software sold on their platform.
1 console is average 9 game sold
30% of nine games sold on release ($60) is $180 per console without any investment.
Horizon on Steam generates Sony around $30 income due to Steam tax.

1 person buying horizon on PC and skipping console is at least $150 loss.
Horizon sold on PS is 100% income going back to sony, vs 70 on Steam.
Add PS plus, ps now and it is not very good business to move all games to PC. I presume only few older titles will be moved to convince PC gamers to buy new ps5.

catlover3161333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

thats so flawed, pc gamers buying consoles arent buying a bunch of third party games with it. When you consider they sell the hardware at a loss what are you smoking. They are mostly just getting extra sales they would have not gotten otherwise by releasing on pc, pc isnt almost exactly the same system but with different exclusive games like an xbox is.

Shiore2u1333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

What kind of warped logic is that? Why would anyone with a capable PC buy a console based on the games already now on PC? It doesn't generate interest to play games at a worse quality than a higher standard one is already use to. At the end of the day it's the games, not the hardware people end up interested in. Same reason there's been games on PC that console players have wanted, but doesn't mean they've actively gone out of their way to learn how to use a keyboard and mouse based solely around said games. Majority simply hope and pray for a port.

Shiore2u1333d ago (Edited 1333d ago )

@sprinterboy So? How is that any different from certain ports on either platforms regardless if it's third or first party? The majority won't bother so it's a niche, if not a severely negligible return, as demonstrated in the past with the reverse. The majority simply won't, even at the risk of missing out, it's why concerns over ports are first and foremost the main concern in people's minds and open discussion before platforms. Way to completely miss the point.

What a dumb idea

sprinterboy1333d ago

The only dumb comment is yours

Thundercat771332d ago

The only dumb idea I see here is people thinking Sony is going to put their first party games on PC day one.

anast1332d ago

Not sure why you got down voted. Your comment is more than reasonable.

They're sitting on a pile of cash with the the Drake collection and first TLOU.

TLOU2 gave the first title the last sales boost it will likely ever see again, so I say go for it on PC. And while we know Cory Barlog is on board with a GoW port, I think Sony hesitates there. They've absolutely got to be readying Dreams for PC though.

The one we can bank on may be their biggest ace in the hole, which is MLB. That thing will print money from sales and MTx once it goes multiplat next year.

If Factions and Socom are really coming, then those are my only other potential "day one" multiplats I see from them just because of their MP only potential. Otherwise, I expect select back catalog titles mixed with 2nd party titles.

RazzerRedux1332d ago

Anything Naughty Dog is going to create a major stream of revenue for Sony. Uncharted is pure gold on PC. TLOU? No brainer. Of course, all those PS3 games are just waiting for some love not called PS Now.

Honestly, with the massive library Sony has, they are one of the few who could actually bypass Steam and probably do pretty well with their own PC store. Goosebumps thinking about it.

Atom6661332d ago

Agree. I wonder if they incorporate a store into PSNow on PC somehow?

You don't know how happy I'd be for a PS store and a Nintendo store on PC. I'll always love consoles, but having my favorites all in one place is the dream.

RaidenBlack1334d ago

Other than Bloodborne,
The Last of Us Remastered and Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection can easily be considered the prime candidates for PC Ports. Killzone Shadow Fall can also be considered viable for a port. Order 1886 is a bit dodgy becoz of the acquisition of the devs by FBGaming but a PC build of the game has already been demoed running @ 60fps.

rainslacker1332d ago

I think Ghosts of Tsushima would do quite well on PC. Maybe Days Gone as well. Both big games with lots to do.
