I'm not a big FGC guy but I think EVO will recover from this as long as the right people get put in charge and others don't stay silent anymore it should be able to move on from the recent mess.

Evo Goes Online This Year; Registration Opens June 5

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Evolution Championship Series (Evo) will be hosted entirely online. Evo announced today that registration for Evo Online will be free and open to competitors in the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Europe. Registration opens June 5 and closes June 28.
