stadia exclusive features =/= awesome

I don't believe that current consoles couldn't handle this. Especially if going on Stadia.

RazzerRedux1538d ago

A game session on Stadia is running on a Vega 56 GPU PC. That is a lot more powerful than any current gen console.

Muzikguy1538d ago

Chromecast Ultra is better than current gen? Sure it can be played on a Vega 56 GPU PC, but it's also playable on weak hardware....

Imagine playing God of War on PS4 remotely on Vita. You are not actually playing on Vita. You are playing on PS4 streaming to Vita. Same principle applies to any/all streaming. Playing on Stadia is not playing on Chromecast Ultra. It is playing on a PC a long way away and streamed to your device.

So you can't judge BG3 based on whether it can be played on Stadia at all.

Muzikguy1538d ago (Edited 1538d ago )

Exactly. Which also means that "current gen" could easily handle it. In the same way you're talking. Assuming that this computer far away is doing all the work, and information is going back and forth consistently on the network, prepare for huge amounts of lag. I don't see it not being playable though. Most likely just a developer choice on the hardware it wants to support

RazzerRedux1538d ago

If you are saying it could "handle it" by streaming to a current gen console......well....yeah. But that isn't the console "handling" it at all. I mean.....you are probably right that current gen could play this game, but using Stadia as a reference isn't valid.
