From Gamasutra: "Veteran artist and graphic designer Takashi Iwade, best known for his work on the long-running Panzer Dragoon series at Sega, has passed away.
Game dev and writer James Mielke, who met Iwade while researching Panzer Dragoon for a feature, shared the news on Twitter earlier today."
For the most part, this was a lovely trip down memory lane. Which feels sort of strange to say when it also served as an introduction to gaming’s new groundbreaking, revolutionary platform in Stadia.
On both counts, Expansive had a great time, and the experience has made the team want to play more Stadia games, as well as go back and get higher scores in Panzer Dragoon.
Panzer Dragoon the classic Sega Saturn game is getting remade for Nintendo Switch and is now confirmed as getting a physical release too.
I'm s excited for this game hope it leads to more Graphical Remasters and eventually more games in the series.
I can't wait to run my Saturn titles next to the Switch version to see how close they are to the original.
I spotted Panzer Dragoon Sorta on Game Pass the other day and I had to get it. I remember playing that game way back in the day.

Man this sucks the visual design of Panzer Dragoon was one of the most unique things about the game back when it came out.
