On the back of last weeks teaser trailer, developer AnyArts Production has released the full-length trailer for its upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive, Seasons of Heaven.
well it definitely looks visually pleasing, so that is something good to be said about the Switch.
It looks amazing to be honest. I'm kind of stunned it looks that good. Hell, it looks better than most exclusives on the Xbox One and PS4. For that reason I'm pretty skeptical. If somehow it does turn out to look this good then holy crap.
Righttttttt lol there is always that one guy. Stop it man most PS4 exclusives will run circles around this basic looking, non graphically taxing game. It looks good but nothing mind blowing and definitely not better than most PS4 exclusives. Your hyperbole is ridiculous.
Keep fighting that good fight though lol let me guess the grass looked super dope? The scope of this game looks very limited and the all around concept and gameplay looks basic.
First off animation look pretty bad.. secondly the game looks good in the forest area in the morning.. but later on the sunset scene looks not that good and show signs of heavily baked lightning .. p.s the devs dont have switch dev kits yet.. and this is probably target render footage from pc
It won't look like that. Nintendo recently sent out devkits so these devs are working on theoretical target specs.
Looks beautiful, which shows the Chipset is built ground up, like Tegra stated weeks ago, before this "leak" that it simply uses tegra 1 chip! The company stated they put a ton of man hours to make this chip great for Switch!

The devs don't even have a Switch dev kit, they're waiting for one. This is PC footage.
I doubt it will look too much worse, after seeing some of the vistas of Breath of the Wild was capable of with the Switch's tech, as an example.

Seriously, the final game isn't going to look anywhere close to this. This is first-class bullshit and it baffles me how people are so willing to believe this, especially from an unproven indie developer.

All systems have had customized chips. This was the same argument fans used with the Wiiu and we all know how that ended up. Please stop holding on to that you'll just be disappointed . Switch will be less powerful than Xbox one like we all figured. Slowly but surely the information is leaking and it seems to be true.

Today, developer AnyArts Productions released the first teaser trailer for its newly announced, Nintendo Switch exclusive, Seasons of Heaven.
Apparently it's not running on the Switch. The devs hope for it to look as good if possible.
Please don't let developers overhype you on Switch hardware. The Switch will be more than powerful enough to run most current-gen games at 720p with Low / Mid settings, which is an achievement alone on mobile hardware, but it's not going to be top-end at all, simply because of the Tegra processor.
NVIDIA base their Tegra processors off of their current-gen laptop GPUs. So in this case the 900m series.
The Tegra processors have incredibly low TDP (15w or less), and looking at the TDP of the 900m series the standouts are:
920mx (16w) 550 GFLOPS
940mx (23w) 900 GFLOPS
910m / 920m / 930m / 940m (33w) 300 - 800 GFLOP
The good news is that the Tegra chips are generally based on the 940m series, so theoretical performance we're looking at 900 GFLOPS (940mx). However, this is a custom chip so it could perform better closer to 1 TFLOP for the Switch, still less powerful than the Xbox One.
But again this is a mobile device, which means clocks have to be lower and TDP has to be less, because they have to conserve battery first and foremost. That 900 GFLOPS comes from clock speeds over 1GHz, which just isn't going to happen in a tablet while trying manage heat, battery life, and saef clocks in a tablet sized handheld.
I think we're looking at 700 - 800 GFLOPS, which is still well above last-gen, and capable of running current-gen, and for a handheld device that's an amazing feat.
This teaser trailer is likely pre-rendered. It won't look like this on the Switch. Honestly, I don't know what people are expecting. Those visuals are better than any game released this generation, we can't expect that from mobile hardware. I'm excited for the Switch and I'm rooting for it, but we have to be realistic.

What matters is that we liked what we saw. Is that not enough?

I have always had this game on my list of Switch games I want. Maybe Nintendo can step in and help publish it. It looks interesting to say the least.
I forget what YouTuber it was, but someone spoke to the dev and had figured out what was going on. The game is still coming, I remember that much.
i just watched the trailer and i really like it. if it ever came to the ps4, i'd buy it.
Like Sadness and Deep Down, the game announced for a new system and becomes the systems first piece of vaporware
