I will stick with Monster Hunter World , love the game and by the photos of thw switch game it looks like last generation.

Abriael2199d ago (Edited 2199d ago )

You could say two generations ago, since it's basically a port of a 3DS game, but I'm still gonna get it for my flights in September.

Neonridr2199d ago

it's a definite upgrade over the 3DS though. No way the 3DS version looked anywhere near as good as this one.

naruga2199d ago (Edited 2199d ago )

While i recently bought the Switch i say Monster Hunter World is the ultimate undeniable flagship of MonHUn games ....Unexpectedly well made (far better than all the 3DS entries and i dont mean graphicallly , its gameplay , art design and amosphere are all a whole class better than 3Ds games) .......i consider it ,the 3rd or 2nd best MonHun game in the series

Nitrowolf22199d ago (Edited 2199d ago )

Cause it is? Its a 3ds enhanced port. I dont really expect a full blown out rehaul of MH on the switch tbh. Theyll improve its looks eventually l, but i think they keep the same older style going

michellelynn09762199d ago (Edited 2199d ago )

XX is much better than World. More monsters, combos, arts, moves and better hit detection.
Gameplay over graphics anyday.

RainOfTerror2199d ago

If it's merely a port, funny how Capcom calls it "the follow up to Monster Hunter Generations" making it sound like a full blown sequel.

Abriael2199d ago (Edited 2199d ago )

No, it's actually pretty correct. It's a follow up to Monster Hunter Generations. This is XX, which is an enhanced follow up to X (Generations), pretty much like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was an enhanced follow up to Monster Hunter 4.

RainOfTerror2199d ago

yea, just realized that .. X, XX, Generations, Generations ultimate Deluxe ++ Pro..

Way to make it all confusing :)

HeisenbergX2199d ago

This looks great .. can someone tell me is this game any good ? how does it compare to other MH games ? i might pick it up one day.

Movefasta19932199d ago

it's a spin off ,they introduced hunter styles, imo its not for me but its still a deep game with loads of content.

Here's the thing you should know. The difference between MHW and this one aside from the pretty visuals. Is that MHW is more western oriented than MH Generations.
MHW is more appealing and more casually and friendly to the player and this one is more traditionally what a MH should be.
Other than that it's a good. MONSTER HUNTER in go..
I played and love the Original Monster Hunter generations on the 3ds And I would recommend this one as well.

PapaBop2199d ago (Edited 2198d ago )

^^^Pretty much this. One thing I took from MHW being my first MH game is that MHW focused on making the game as accessible as possible for first timers without taking away the essence of what makes a good MH game. I'd guess Generations will feel uncomfortable initially for those whose first MH game was MHW.

Other than that though, when I bought my 3ds and done a bit of research on MH, the general opinion seemed to be that generations wasn't the best MH game and inferior to MH4U. I imagine it'll still be a great game on the go but can't say as I haven't got around to trying any of the 3ds versions yet.

Gemmol2198d ago

all opinions. some prefer XX over MH4U........in my opinion XX combat similar to monster hunter world, they took it from XX and made it a little more refine

DivineAssault 2199d ago

This is good for people who want it but MHW set the bar pretty high..

Gemmol2198d ago

not really......Monster Hunter XX have over 100 monsters, while Monster Hunter world have 32 monsters

its less content and less things to do in Monster Hunter world which made it easier on the casual owner

look it up, Monster hunter world do not have half the content this game have

and if you try the demo you can tell they took the combat from XX and made it a little more refined for MHW

Prince_TFK2198d ago

“MHW set the bar pretty high..”

In term of visual you meant. For gameplay and contents, that is a whole different story.

DivineAssault 2198d ago

Its not just the visuals dude.. Ive been a MH fan for a while.. I know the menu systems, tracking, traversal, etc have all been improved in MHW.. Playing in the old style is cool for people who want it, but i dont see anywhere near as many as MHW..

Not sure what you mean. But I think there is a policy to allow sales articles to jump quickly to the headlines so that people can see them before the sale is done. (If that is what puzzled you)

I think I have $10 in credits and got a $50 gift card as a holiday gift. I might find a store so I can see what I’m buying
