Cake Mania: Baker's Challenge is a game that's less about making cakes than it is about managing your time well and making customers happy, which sort of sounds like work yet there is a strange satisfaction for doing well in the game. Currently the game is selling on Amazon for $12, and considering the PC title with less modes is $10, this isn't a bad deal if this is your type of game.
Cake Mania: Baker's Challenge is a good addition to the handheld titles, and will offer plenty of entertaining hours. With four game modes, Cake Mania, Back to Bakery, Custom Kitchen and Baker's Challenge, the game is recommended to all types of players and ages.
The controls are a little funky -- particularly given the number of buttons both the PS2 and PSP offer -- but it's hardly enough to kill the fun. Given the price point and the amount of stuff here, this is a great little impulse buy. You might not be playing it a few months from now, but it'll certainly offer enough fun in the initial couple weeks to justify the purchase price.
