Scariest PS4 Game I've Ever Played... So Many Jump Scares

busygalblogs.com writes... Last night I can across a game in the PS4 store, I decided it looked creepy so my husband bought it for me. Once I started playing the game I soon realised this was the scariest PS4 game I’ve ever played!

meh.. Layers of Fear was basically a walking simulator with some creepy moments. But since there were no actual characters in the game and it was all about self discovery as to the events that unfolded, it was a little bit of a let down. The graphics and mood were awesome though, but I would choose Amnesia or Outlast over this as to which game is actually scarier.

I'm started playing outlast and will look into amnesia. I think the feel to layers of fear was creepy as hell. I'm on the last level now because I just couldn't put the controller down. I agree the graphics are truly amazing

the atmosphere and environments in Layers of Fear are spot on and really well done. I just wish there was a little more meat on the bone, so to speak :P

Yeah played LoF with two mates in just two sessions. The game was perfect for what it is, a cheap scares simulation. We had a lot of fun. Perfect price as well.

I want more of these bite sized gems.

Layers of Fear was weak. It had more annoying parts to it than actual scary stuff and even the scary stuff was lacking.

Guarantee resi 7 VR (or pretty much any VR horror) is way worse. VR takes horror to a whole new level.

Layers of fear was a cool game. But the scares become repetitive and predictable.
I enjoyed entering a room turning around and the room was a mess, or chairs being thrown around as you approch them.

Outlast was another cool horror game but I didn't find it scary. I got used to the jump scares really early on. The worst bits of outlast was where you had a large open area and had to do small tasks while Chris Walker would patrol the corridors. You do that a few too many times.

If you liked Layers of Fear, you really should check out Observer. Same company. As much as I liked Layers of Fear and it's dlc, I liked Observer even more.

Greyhill Incident had potential but got slammed. I’ll still try it, but on sale or GamePass. Someday.
