Gearbox Announces Closed Test For New Game Called Project 1V1

Gearbox has a new game in the mix and has started a technical test signup for the game code named 1V1. Project 1v1 is the code name for a top-secret, in-development, competitive first person shooter and the speculation has already begun.

If I am speculating which I am, I think it is a 1 VS 1 King of the Hill type game. Might be a free to play type which they hope will be an ESports entry.

I am curious but honestly a 1 on 1 DM does not really grab me at first. Sounds like DOOM via Dial Up.

Sounds like a 1v1 version of the Paladins F2P game (you can pick 5 cards that buff abilities / stats for your loadout).

I'm speculating it's a new Borderlands with added online features etc....

That would be nice but it may be a sign of what is coming in the next one as well as the graphics do not look like Borderlands.
