makes it sound like because it isn't powerful enough or something when clearly the basis for the arguments were that they have been developing this game for far too long (3.5 years) and by the time the Switch was even available, they hadn't planned for it.

That is not something they're saying at a subjectivity that is simply fact and I'm not really sure why you would get upset about that. They're letting you know up front it's not a system they intend to use.

Buddy this game is not coming for the switch for the same reason like literally almost 98% of the AAA games that were announced are not coming so this damn system.

We had tons of cross-generational games on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One we didn't just have a bunch of games skipping the platforms because they didn't get their Dev kits in time cuz it just doesn't add up.

This is not showing up on the switch just like a plethora of games did it show up on the Wii or Wii U.

Those systems skipped 98% of the triple a third party games that released on PlayStation 3 360 and PC..

Was that because of dev kit coming late too?

Hhhmm.. what part was taken out of context? The title pretty much says what the developer said. All they said was Agents of Mayhem wasn't coming to the Switch. They didn't say future games wouldn't come to the Switch.

Which makes sense- development on the game started long before the Switch was even a thing, and the Switch, with its unique architecture and hardware, probably did not figure into Volition’s plans. Of course, whether or not that changes for future games by them remains up in the air, for now.

I agree with writer of the article, but he did not have to choose such a click bait article title, plus its expected, any game that come out this year and maybe some of next year wont be on the switch since developers did not get their kits until this year, we can blame nintendo for that, or just move on and see what future brings

you just said months to port, if everyone not using unreal or unity or the other kits nintendo approve, then of course it will take a while to port.....look at snake pass it took 3 days because the game run on unreal 4, and most of those games you wrote have their own engine, it would not arrive in time they would have to customize their engine to work the game

look at the resident evil 7 engine it did not start working on Switch until April, so the engines are coming, its sad you have no patience

It's not factually incorrect, it's just completely unnecessary. What's the point of commenting on an article about a dev saying their game isn't coming to Switch just to say that it's another game not coming to Switch? Anyone clicking on the article already knows that.

I never said this, so I have no idea why you're putting words into my mouth again. I've told you multiple times I have a gaming PC and I'll just play 3rd party games on my PC.

Also, I typed up a two line response that took maybe ten seconds. Nowhere in my comment do I sound "upset", "mad", or "emotional". There you again making assumptions.

But hey, if you're not trolling then you may as well explain why you made a comment on an article about a game not coming to Switch to point out that yes, there are games not coming to Switch. That being said, to be on topic, there will be a lot of games that won't come to switch. Some of them because of power, others because they likely wouldn't sell well on the switch.....or at least there is no evidence that 3rd party games will sell well on the switch yet. Same problem the WiiU had.

The dev is just saying that given the release dates of their game compared to the Switch, they didn't have the time or resources anymore to optimize for it. I think a lot of the earlier games will be like this, because it's not uncommon for new systems to go through this kind of teething period after launch.

Edmix maybe could have been less trollish(I guess if we want to classify it as that) and explained it more like I did in his OP, but you calling him out as a fan boy offers up nothing to the discussion. Something that some people in that blog you cite are complaining about as being as much an annoyance and problem on N4G as the rampant trolling....myself included.

That sucks, but at the end of the day I still love my Switch. Even if it only gets first party titles and indie Tories it'll remain my most played system. Third parties are making a huge mistake if they ignore the Switch. Now back to playing Gonner!
