Great to hear this. Might get a Switch later this year

Cybermario2569d ago

glad to see is easy to port games to the Switch, now i want to see it with a big AAA game not an indie title.

Payday 2 was just announced, does that count?

Cybermario2567d ago (Edited 2567d ago )

well not really a big title (i love PAY DAY) but when capcom has expressed porting wont be easy when it comes to big titles that is what i am worried about. The thing about PAY DAY 2, how well will it look versus PC and or PS4 counterparts, will online features be as good (aka players in the lobby and not an online multiplayer dead on arrival, because online wont be free). All the features will be there or they will need to chop and cut stuff out, wont be frame rate issues? Having hardware that is easy to program for does not ensure quality, that is up to the abilities of the programmers (heck, even zelda got performance issues and im sure ninty got good programmers). Easy to port and assured quality are not the same thing.

Also, forgive me but, i am supposed to get hypsed for a game from 2013 everyone played already?

People are asking where the new games are, where is for honor or wildlands etc. If these games were to be made available they would still be months away. The response would then turn into " but these are old games". If multiplatform games are coming to switch we should see evidence at E3. If not then switch will get its own niche games. But going forward for switch even if it does get multiplatform games it will never get all of the upcoming ones and will certainly miss out on games like Destiny 2 etc.
I think this is fine as i own the other consoles. Pretty sure you own either a ps4 or xbox so with this said multiplatform games would also be less relevant for you as well.
As for Zelda and performance issues. Many of these are now patched. In addition zelda was ported from the wii u, this work was reported to have only started early-mid last year, so less than a year to port it to the new hardware. Thats pretty good.

I was reading it's all just false reports from a troll who's done things like this in the past and not Nintendo themselves.

Well the games creator Gary Newman confirmed it himself on Twitter.
