Doesn't the switch support HDMI-CEC, which would allow it to power on/switch inputs on a TV?
I can't test mine since the 5 port HDMI switch i'm using (no pun intended) doesn't pass CEC signals, but if so, then there are 7 things that the switch can't do, as TV control is there....

This article is a joke. "Can't turn on your TV" really? because that is right in the settings to turn on your TV by hitting the home button or docking it...turns mine on with no problem.

Netflix and video uploading is confirmed to come later, when it's needed because focusing on video games with a video games system comes first.

Can't draw....what game are you using to prove this? I'm sure it's a thing later since it does have a touch screen.

Then the rest are wanting old Wii games or to play Wii Fit (which should come out in some form for switch...maybe, just not called Wii Fit) but really we can get great new games and you want Wii Sports lol

Strive to help this company get better, don't make excuses for their inferiority.

If something is wrong state that it is wrong so things could do better because all you're actually doing is perpetuating that this isn't a problem at all for Nintendo.

Say that to the 188 million people that decided to not purchase their Hardware the previous generation.

That number is going to be quite higher this time around considering this may very well be Nintendo's only platform in the foreseeable future ie less sales.

I wonder if you're going to be saying these things if this platform fails and the company announces they're becoming a software company only?

I've got both and the Wiiu seems like an ancient relic. With a few updates, Switch is the console the Wiiu was meant to be.

I agree. Don't get me wrong I loved the wiiu for games we got on it form Nintendo but I think the switch is what the wiiu should of been.

Seeing people's reactions to it so far the console is looking like it could be a big hit but only time will tell. I'm loving mine so far though

Tell them to stop making bad decisions it's very easy to bash Nintendo when they make such questionable decisions in the first place.

Technology is a very fast and unforgiving Market things move at such a quick Pace that if you're not able to adapt you're going to get left behind in this platform is releasing dated already what do you think is going to happen in five years? It's going to get better?

Technology like this had to get scrutinize because of its longevity, we will be talking about this for years to come and it will only get worse , not better.

I mean consider this can you believe it's only been 10 years since we've had the iPhone?

Yet look at how quickly that market was able to chip away at Nintendo's portable install base.

Nintendo in that time frame sold 160 million DS

They sold only 60 million 3DS....

I don't think you fully recognized the danger that this company is in, they actually cannot afford to keep making these mistakes because they're losing a market so valuable that it is there only Market they have left , it literally is on their last legs.

Nintendo already lost the majority of the hardcore Market to Playstation Xbox and PC the majority of the hard core install base identifies with franchises such as Resident Evil Battlefield Call of Duty Mass Effect what have you in the majority of those Gamers have games on platforms that don't have the Nintendo moniker I want you to consider with titles like The Witcher Watch Dogs the division and all these other new franchises releasing that hardcore install base is just growing even larger to be more irrelevant to Nintendo.

They just spent several Generations being irrelevant to literally hundreds of millions of gamers and now with these new intellectual properties releasing a series they're now going to spend a large number of even more years being even more irrelevant so when you look at the 14 million I want you to understand that that is a combination of several generations of Nintendo ignoring a specific base of consumer.

The portable Market is the only one that has any shares available for Nintendo to grab onto and if they lose that market which is extremely difficult to penetrate because of how casual it is and because of smartphones being everywhere they're going to have a very tough time succeeding at this point they would be extremely lucky if they managed just get 40 million.

We don't know how much of the 3DS Gamers will return.

I would argue that losing market share is even more important than losing money because losing market share is the potential to make more money you're literally losing the actual audience that buys the Platforms in the first place.

The people that you still buy Nintendo handhelds to play some puzzle games and casually game are now using their phones.

You have to diversify or die in this type of market and Nintendo is quickly the RCA.

The amount of market share their losing its very very very dangerous it's why I've been predicting they might go software-only.

Consider before Nintendo ever confirmed with the switch was going to be I was correct in my assumption that they were going to release a handheld that played on the television as I believe that they did not have the money to keep making two platforms that were not selling.

That assumption was simply based on their finances and I was correct.

Hello did Xbox one not launch unfinished. It had Kinect tho 👍🏻. It was unfinished couldn't keep up with competition didn't even tell you how much charge was left in your controller or storage space left on hard drive. All the basics from 360 were missing on launch until it all got patched in over the first 2-3 years wasting the first 2-3 years as if 360 could do it why wasn't it a standard feature out the box on Xbox one?

Here's the difference.

The Xbox one is much more powerful than the 360.

The switch is basically an overclockrd Wii u.

You're right, but you can't overlook the fact that the Switch is also smaller and lighter than the Wii U's gamepad. To have slightly more power than the Wii U while being 1/5th its size also plays in the equation. There's more to it than just power.

I'm yet to see a major next gen difference between Xbox 360 and Xbox 1... Scorpio might help but Xbox 1 isn't this massively overpowered 360 it's a minimal upgrade... especially after 10 years with 360 if its so much more powerful why are we getting Scorpio. We're getting Scorpio to combat resolutiongate except oh Sony have released a Pro, microsoft 😱. Microsoft might as well start preparing for next gen 2020. ✌🏻 If switch is just an overclocked Wii U how can it run Xbox one games? Being as they are sooo much more powerful 😂
