Eternal, by Dire Wolf Digital, is a Magic the Gathering like game which pits players against one another in one on one battles. You fight against your opponent by casting spells, summoning creatures, defending and attacking until one player's health reaches zero. Instead of the class based system in other CCGs such as Hearthstone, you have different themed mana cards you can play to use your cards. This allows players to mix and match factions to their liking.
Eternal Return, the aesthetic Survival Battle Arena, is coming to the Windows Store on October 19 with a special Game Pass Perks offer! Choose one of the ever growing cast of characters, take on Lumia Island as one of 18 players - either solo or with a team, and prove your strength, ability, and wit.
NintyGamer.com writes, "Eternal is a free-to-play deck-building card game on Nintendo Switch that is similar to Magic: The Gathering. This quick start guide is for players who are new to more in-depth card games."
Eternal mimics the intimate 1v1 format popularized in other CCGs (collectible card games) like Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering.
Much like in other CCGs, Eternal players collect cards and use them to construct custom decks which they then use to try and best other players’ decks. The cards players collect are spread across a number of different color variants, card types, and keywords, allowing for deck strategies which range from simple and straightforward to mind-bendingly complex, and every shade of gray in-between.
Not yet another CCG...Please!
